Did you know? "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" was written as the original answer to "Cry Me a River" (and reached #2 in the UK) 🤯

Hey everyone! Here's a bit of early-2000s pop trivia that not everybody knows.

After Justin Timberlake released "Cry Me a River" in 2002, hit songwriter Cathy Dennis (who also co-wrote "Toxic") wrote "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex" for Britney Spears as a response to the narrative of that song.

Britney ultimately passed on it because she didn't want to fuel the public drama, so it ended up becoming Rachel Stevens' solo debut single in 2003. It became a huge hit, peaking at #2 on the UK Singles Chart and finishing as the 22nd best-selling single of the year in the UK.

The irony? The song that kept it from reaching #1 was "Where Is the Love?" by the Black Eyed Peas—which features uncredited vocals and co-writing from Justin Timberlake himself.

What do you think of the song? Do you think Cathy Dennis nailed the perfect answer record, or was "Cry Me a River" simply unbeatable thanks to Timbaland's production?

For anyone who hasn't heard it (or hasn't in years), here's the music video:

I composed a song deeply inspired by Jen Ledger and wanted to share this tribute with you all! ♥️ (Five Loaves & Two Fish)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something very close to my heart with fellow Jen Ledger fans.

She has always been a massive inspiration to me—her vocal emotional delivery, her spirit, and her artistry. Because of that, I ended up composing a song called "Five Loaves & Two Fish" where my ultimate dream was to capture a vibe that felt worthy of her voice.

To bring this vision to life, I collaborated with AI to shape the classical and romantic orchestrations, and even generated this digital painting to serve as the visual concept—representing a peaceful, wintery, and contemplative portrait inspired by Jen’s aesthetic.

It's a humble tribute from a fan to an incredible artist. I’d love to know what you guys think of the atmosphere and the composition!

Does anyone here know S Club 7? 😂

Hey everyone!

Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, while NSYNC was dominating, the UK had a massive group called S Club 7, and their lead singer, Jo O'Meara, was widely considered the vocal powerhouse of the British pop scene.

She definitely had a lot of belt power and a very distinct voice, but in my personal opinion, JC’s refined vocal technique, incredible control, and agility during live performances still put him a step ahead.

I wanted to throw this question out to the community: Does anyone here remember or follow S Club 7’s work during their active years? Do you think Jo was genuinely on the same talent and vocal level as JC, or do you feel JC operates in a league of his own?
