Let's play a game: predict my fit [post your overconfident guess]

For you all who are confident, let's say my saddle is too high, or whatever else you think is going to hurt me and is out of bounds.

Or if you just want to joke around!

I have my fit results available, so let's see who's actually right! Posting the results with angles and recommendations tomorrow.

May the best win. Let's see what this sub has got in it.

Italian Thaon di Revel-class patrol vessel

The double bow makes the ship longer and more hydrodynamically efficient.

The bridge, instead of being a traditional standing room, is designed in a way that resembles an aircraft cockpit.

My 1:72 scale destroyer build

Just completed the build video for my ship. It's quite large at 7 feet, and I've designed and 3D printed the parts myself.

A navigable navy destroyer in 1/72 scale

I've been building this ship over the past few years, and just completed giving it a uniform grey coat this summer. Most of the details are complete, though some weapons are yet missing. My goal is to add functional LEDs, functional rotating turrets, and rotating radars as well.

This was its first navigation in full grey attire. Because of voltage issues with my custom-made nRF24 Arduino controls, I only stayed close to shore, and kept a fishing wire attached, but my goal is for it to be fully navigable. Because it's in 1/72 scale, there's a helicopter that goes on the heli deck (not shown because of transportation).

All the details are custom-designed in Blender 3D software, and made in either 3D printing, fiberglass, or plastic sheet.

The ship is the F620 Forbin, a Horizon-class destroyer, modeled as seen until the refit in the 2010s.

Details still missing: the 76mm Otto-Melara guns are not shown, the Giat F2 machine guns, the NGDS lance-leurres, the helicopter deck railings, some ladders, and some paint markings Unfortunately, I broke off the head of the mast in transportation, so that detail is missing.

1/72 Forbin Destroyer build log (2.12m)

I've been working a lot on this boat over the past year. It's a 3D printed hull covered with fiberglass, with plastic card structures, and resin printed details.

Women: what is the ideal first move?

So I'm interested in the perspective of women here, what's the first move you want a guy to make?

Also, why is it your ideal that it be him making the first move?

I'm also curious what chances of success you think this has? If you think of all the single guys at your church, how many would you accept a first move from?

For example, if I'm interested in someone, but don't believe there's much of a chance, what's your suggestion?

Guys, this is for the girls only. I'm genuinely curious. I often hear this expression and genuinely want to know.

Finished bridge interior last night, Forbin 1:72

I decided to custom model the consoles and resin print them to be more or less accurate. Pretty happy with the result, considering the bridge is a rather hidden area that's difficult to see into. It will add a bit of delight to see the captain on his seat. Hoping to add some red LED lighting later.

Wrestling with my mind

This is a conversation I want to have with God, but He would bury me in the ground like Job, so maybe it's just a prayer, or thoughts that you yourselves have:

You have been good in salvation towards me, and good in health, and good in life. But, I still feel conflicted about meeting someone. If I want to complain, is it right? Or am I doing wrong? Who else should I invoke but You? I see your goodness everywhere in my life, except in having a spouse; when I asked and begged for mercy, there was no help that I could see. I am only human, I can only observe what happens on my plane.

If I don't pray, it is wrong, and a lack of faith. But if I do pray, and don't see an answer, people say that I'm just pressing a button and expecting God to answer. What is right? To whom else should I go to in any case?

Is this due to sin? Or is it a test of patience? Or did I miss opportunities because of my own stupidity and blindness? Is the message that my decisions were wrong? Or was it simply circumstantial, or a teaching moment? How would I know, if You did not speak to me directly?

This is what I wrestle with: why give desire, but no response? If there is not meant to be a response, why does the desire not go away? It seems like, in this generation, it's not only my struggle, but many many people have similar problems. Is there a way to fix it, or are we fundamentally broken?

Also, why are unbelievers rewarded with love and comfort in fornication, while I am left with longing and hurt? For their sake, should you not show them that a Christian has a more fulfilling relationship based in your precepts, and more enduring, than what they can have? Or, should they see you as inactive in my life? Will you reward someone who tries, even if so imperfectly, to follow you? Or will your grace not be present? Am I missing it? Bad attitude? Not thankful enough? Too focused on what is missing?

I know that You test obedience, and that I should obey you even if there is no advantage, and I grow old, single, and die. Many saints have gone so far as to die for you, or to become euneuchs to serve better. But right now, that reality really breaks my mental state.

I will not stop following You, nor believing that You are good. Remind me of the joy of my salvation, because my judgment is clouded. What comes out of me is mediocre, but what comes out of You is redemption. Will You redeem me? Will You redeem my broken story?

It's nice

It's nice thinking about you.

Even if, I think and imagine, we aren't meant to be. Then, my mind bounds us more strongly together.

Even when I go running, you're a kind of inspiration. A prize out of reach. The music plays in my ears, and somehow the words are about you.

Are we acquaintances? Or distant friends? Sometimes I think you avoid me. Or perhaps, just don't see me. Or have something else going on.

In the end, you probably have no end of eligible suitors. Don't you? Perhaps I'm not youthful enough to attract your attention?

So I promised myself not to write to you. That would be too sappy and loser.

But, sometimes I'd want to, for wondering what might be missed. The opportunity will slip.

Will you make an effort? Will you not run away? Or will we keep both an awkward closeness and distance? If you wanted to, we'd talk more, right?

Still, it's nice thinking what could happen. We could meet at that Persian café I like. Or you could come take that car ride together.

Still, it feels like you haven't accepted me, so I don't move forward.

May God smile on us tonight, and you be present this evening?
