More Mega Evolution concepts by me

Done this like a week or two ago and felt like doing it again. Just like last time, I tried to keep them balanced but still strong. What do you think?

Looking for shows and movie recommendations

I got a prime video free trial to binge the final season of the boys and now I have 6 days left to get the most of it before I cancel. Any recommendations for movies and shows? They dont have to be Prime Originals, just whatever that is good and available on the service. For the record Im already aware of Invincible, Fleabag and Fallout

Am I the only one that thinks this whole ”RGG is ruined” narrative is a bit silly?

Take a look at this graph I made. It lists every RGG game released in English in chronological order, barring the remastered trilogy and dead souls, alongside the overall reception that the public had to each title (so those are not my opinions. Some I like more, some I like less, some I haven't even played yet), and as you can see, RGG has been incredibly consistent for decades. Id say the only ”mid” game they made for the longest time was the very first one: after that, just about each game was at the very least good, with some truly fantastic games like LAD and Lost Judgement thrown in there from time to time. Most people would say that their bad streak started with Pirate Yakuza, followed by an eh port of Y0, rounding things out with the pretty disastrous K3. 3 bad games in a row *sounds* like a lot...but it really isn't. First of all, the initial reception that people had to Pirate Yakuza was actually pretty solid; I feel like its mostly in retrospect that people look negatively at this title, but even then, the worst thing you can say about it is that its ”okay”. Second of all, yes, the Directors Cut of Y0 is an objectively inferior way of playing that game and it sucks that Sega delisted the original, but you are out of your goddam mind if you think some extra cutscenes ruin what is otherwise a masterpiece of a video game. Even if its a slightly worse Y0, its STILL Y0, so its still a good game; saying otherwise is ridiculous. And finally, K3. Yeah I cant really defend this one.

Even if you were to look at this in the most pessimistic way, what RGG essentially did was: make an okay game, make a mid remaster of a fantastic game and make an incredibly lazy remake of a good game. Need I remind people that all of this happened in the span of 12 MONTHS? RGG has been making good games for decades, and then they have ONE bad year and everybody loses faith in them (I know its not everybody but you know what I mean). You're entitled to you opinion, but that just seems a bit extreme, no?

How much do ya'll wanna bet that these two are gonna found both the Tojo clan and the Omi alliance respectively?

At this point, it feels pretty much confirmed that Makoto Daito, the protagonist of Stranger Than Heaven, is actually Makoto Tojo, the founder of the Tojo Clan. During the Special Look showcase, they went out of their way to emphasize Makoto’s lifelong friendship with this guy called Yu Shinjo, which makes it pretty obvious that this relationship is going to be central to the story.

I think Yu is gonna be this game’s equivalent of Nishiki: the sworn brother whose bond with the protagonist eventually turns tragic. And I’m calling it now: Yu Shinjo is going to end up becoming the founder of the Omi Alliance.

The Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance have been the two dominant yakuza organizations throughout the entire series, so the idea that they were founded by two kyodais who ultimately fell apart would fit perfectly with RGG’s style of melodramatic and soap opera-ish storytelling. That's my theory. What do you think?

Sugestion for Bug type buff

We all know Bug is the worst type in the game. Like, its not even close. Too many weaknesses, too many types that resist it, the only viable Bug type combo is Bug/Steel, and that's about it. Bug type Pokémon need a buff across the board, but I don't think GameFreak will adjust the type chart ever again. The last time they did that was after the introduction of the Fairy Type, and that was 13 years ago. So while it would be nice to make Bug super effective against Fairy and remove some of those types that resist it, I don't think that's ever gonna happen. Instead, I think Bug should receive a buff in the vein of what Dark types got in gen 7, when they became immune to Prankster. Since Bug is so weak, I think we need a more extreme version of that. The buffs that I suggested would give Bug types a unique type of strength. Instead of hitting hard or taking hits, Bug types could specialize in being slippery and pivoting in and out of the battlefield for free. Have you ever tried killing a fly in your room with your bare hands? Its pretty hard. Also, Im aware some Pokemon abilities like Insomnia on Ariados would become useless after these buffs, but abilities can always be changed. Ariados would just get a new, actually useful ability.

Most Eeveelutions with the exception of like Sylveon are pretty much useless in competitive, but they also can't get new evolutions or regional forms. As it stands the only way to boost their availability is with some good ol megas. And if one Eeeveelution gets a mega, they ALL get a mega, and I figured they should all get the same ability as well. As far as stats go, each eeveelution has the same stats, just shuffled around. I decided to keep that with the mega stat distribution. Each of the 5 stats get boosted by 30, 25, 20, 15 and 10 points respectively. What do you think? I think lighting rod-like abilities are really fun in doubles and this pretty much guarantees that every mega eeveelution would see play since any team could use redirection of a specific type.

Felt bored yesterday so I theory crafted a bunch of Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Champions that were brewing in my head for a while. This took waaaaaay too long lmao. What do you think? I tried to keep them balanced but these are definitely stronger than the average mega. Also, don't take the stats tooooooo seriously. I did put some decent amount of thought into the spreads but I'm still not a competitive expert. Also these are all designed around doubles battles so maybe some stuff would have to be redesigned around singles. Anyway, what do you think?
