Orkahm is the lucky test subject to be rendered with my new Metrutoran gearbox design. It also adds full neck articulation and movie-like arms too. While you can make all 6 Metrutoran (and Dume) this way, be warned you'll need to substitute the CCBS shells on Ahkmou's arms with another color, due to them not coming in light brown. Onua gets his revamp next. This time, the build is inspired by art from CrunchbiteNuva.
He boasts multiple configurations too, thanks to his adaptive armor, only limited by the power of your imagination.
Gali is next in line. Inspired by art from art-roly, Gali features multiple configurations just like Lewa:
Config A. Aqua Axe mode.
Config B. Swimming mode.
Config C. Flight mode.
And you can make more configurations too!
Upgraded by Artakha with his new adaptive armor, Lewa has become stronger than ever, and one with the winds like never before. With the ability to reconfigure his armor, weapons, even the shape of his mask, he can meet any challenge that faces him, whether it be in the jungle or the skies. While he is only limited by his imagination, here are four configurations:
A. Air Katanas: Lewa's classic air katanas slice and dice his enemies with ease. A quick, light weapon.
B. Midak Skybow and Air Saber: Uniting his Air Katanas and Midak Skyblaster creates the Midak SkyBow. This special combination increases shot speed and accuracy, allowing him to even slightly steer shots when wielded. This configuration can also fly alongside him, acting as an attack drone to assist him. Meanwhile, the Air Saber, though heavier than the Air Katanas, is able to concentrate stronger bursts of air through it alone versus his two Air Katanas. It also has an electrical charge too.
C. Battle Axe: The small wings on Lewa's back, as well as the hilts of his Air Katanas, combine to make a powerful, heavy Battle Axe. Its melee power is easily the strongest, but its heft makes it a slower weapon. In this configuration, Lewa's jet boosters also reconfigure to the side of his shoulders.
D. Jet formation: Reconfiguring his Kanohi Miru Nuva into an aerodynamic shape, mounting his Air Katanas on the sides of his shoulders for larger wings, and the Midak Skyblaster on his back, Lewa becomes a living jet fighter, with no creature able to mask his speed nor maneuverability in the air. It is said if he wore a Kakama Nuva, he might be able to attain spaceflight.
I got the Technic Off-Road Race Buggy (set 42164) on clearance, and wanted to challenge myself to make something else, so this happened. You can even make a minifig ride in the back of it. Due to the set only having one ½ pin/axle without friction ridges, only one arm can punch, while the other is just basically articulated and can be used for blocking.
An early LEGO Stud .io creation I made, circa 2022, which was a PC Engine that transformed into a robot. It has a flip-out head, but also a HuCard that becomes a mask of sorts. Partsforming is involved for the fists, and part of the console comes off to make the shoulder missile cannon. One of the neat things is you actually rotate the card slot 180° for the transformation.
I plan to refine it in the future, so the transformation is more workable in the legs.
An SD version of Punch/Counterpunch, which transforms between robot modes with ease. An SG version, with colors based on the toy version of Doubleclouder from Masterforce, is also here.
SG Punch bio:
Punch is a mercenary who happily sells his services to both sides. Though he may agree with the evil Autobots' beliefs of Cybertronian supremacy, he has no problem betraying his fellow Autobots if it increases his rank and profits. He has a huge hatred of Hot Rod, seeing him as both a rival to not only turn the Autobots into a mercenary group, but also to overthrow Optimus Prime as Emperor of Destruction.
He is smug, cocky, and fully willing to talk back to his superiors and laugh at their plans going awry, while mocking their hindsight. If Optimus didn't value his spy skills, he would have sent him to the smelting pools eons ago.
When transformed into the Decepticon, Counterpunch, he seems like a bumbling, nerdy, eager-to-please new recruit. His seemingly warm nature could even trick the wisest Decepticon, even Megatron. After all, he seems like someone you can trust managing the Decepticon computer systems, right? He would NEVER cause a huge tragedy, would he?
A transforming Optimus Primal SD figure. Turn his waist, pull up his shoulders, and replace the gorilla face onto the chest, and presto!
Includes Shattered Glass variant, which is oddly based on the purpleback gorilla from Danny Phantom.
Before I learned of LEGO Soundwave, I wanted to recreate the old prototype for RadiCasse Robo, the Microchange toy that would become Blaster for Transformers. Includes a partner robot that transforms into his head, because I love Headmasters.
Note: Involves partsforming for the legs and fists.
Green Grove Zone and the Hunter Badnik made only in parts colors that actually exist, making it so you can build these IRL if you wanted to.
Based on patents and concept art of Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime. Contains a little partsforming though.
Robot mode keeps a very G1 stature and build.
Cab mode requires the removal of head and forearms.
For jet mode, twin cannon mode, and to attach to the base/super robot body, you need to remove the wheels.
For super robot mode, attach the large head.
