Special education funding

Hi! I work in a school district in California near the Central Valley and we had recently cut our special education budget. It’s really effecting a lot of my team members and I was wondering if this is happening all over California? I’ve been considering moving districts because of this but I’m not sure if that’s a great idea. If your district is doing this too could you comment on this post. I would love to know if this is happening all over the state. Thanks!!

Dietetics as a career

Hi! I’m making this post to find out more about dietetics. My friend graduated with a degree in nutritional science and has been wanting to be a dentist but hasn’t been able to get in. He’s been considering nursing because it pays a lot more and it has more upward growth. But he always says he’s more interested and passionate about nutrition. He finds it very interesting and enjoyed all of his classes. I’ve been trying to convince him to look into dietetics again because maybe he would enjoy it more. The main thing that prevents him from choosing dietetics is because of the salary and he’s worried about the upward movement of the job and job growth. I’ve been doing my own research on Google to hopefully help him decide but i honestly don’t know much about either career. I would really appreciate any advice or help in understanding how it all works. I appreciate any advice! I’m just trying to help my friend! Thank you!

Zara kids jeans

Hi!

I’ve been seeing some really cute Zara kids jeans on their website. I’ve been considering getting a pair but I’m unsure of what size. I’m 5’2 and about 95 lbs. i usually wear a size 23 or 24 in jeans. I’ve been reading previous posts on here about this and it seems like i might be a 11-12 but i don’t want it to be too tight in the crotch area. I don’t have a store near me to try any on. If you have any recommendations I would appreciate it!

Italian Heritage

Hi!

I am an American and a lot of my family originated from Italy but immigrated here in the late 1800s to early 1900s. I am currently traveling to Italy to visit Rome. On my flight the flight attendant came up to me to check on my food allergy but they spoke to me Italian because my last name is very Italian. I explained that it is Italian but I don’t speak the language. She then said it was Italian. I guess I’m asking for advice because all my life I’ve always referred to it as an Italian last name. Should I be referring to it as not an Italian last name. Nobody has ever said that before. I think I am taking it to personal it I am very proud of my Italian heritage but I also understand that I am American so maybe it doesn’t count. Any feedback or if this has happened and you can provide advice. I do not want to be disrespectful to anyone. Thank you!

Owning 3 dogs and I think one is a bully

Hi!

We found 3 dogs on the side of the road in January. They are random mixes and about 1 years old now. They are all boys and we had them neutered in March. Two of the boys are the same height and about 20 pounds. The 3rd is a corgi mix and shorter than him. We have noticed more recently that when the corgi plays with one of the other dogs the third will then go and run over and bite his face or neck and make him cry. Once he starts crying it’s so hard to get him to stop. The original dog the corgi was playing with will then join in and hurt him too. It’s completely kinda random but does not happen every day. Sometimes will be for like 2 days this behavior happens and the 2 days are completely fine and they are the best of friends. I want to know why this behavior is happening. They are all from the same litter. I feel bad for the corgi because he just wants to play and one takes it too far. Please help!

Fear of unfulfilled desire

I’ve been listening to a lot of sermons recently about singleness and a couple have discussed different types of singleness. One of them that I can’t stop thinking about is the desire to be married but never having that desire fulfilled. This type of singleness is people waiting and praying to god for that person but never receiving them. After listening to this it really resonated with me. I felt like what if that is me. I was kinda in awe because I’ve never considered that type of singleness before. I wanted to share this because maybe this would resonate with someone else. If it does I will pray for you because I understand that this type of singleness is difficult and confusing.
