BOOX Notes text words broken lines?

BOOX Notes text words broken lines?

Hi I think this is a bug. My existing Boox Notes when reopened with v4.1.1 now have strange split of text box words across 2 lines see screen cap. eg book is split into bo and ok? Is there a setting to avoid this. It never happened before I updated to 4.1.1 recently.

Reported to Boox Feedback today, posting here in case you have knowledge on this messed up issue that I am having. Grrr...

Samsung notes recent problems?

Some reason my other older Samsung Notes phone is suddenly now having catastrophic problems to sync any recently updated notes from my newer Tab s 8+ notes v4.4.40.11 (looks like a Samsung Notes update released 15th May just 2 days ago). It's only when there is URL added by the newer tab S8+ notes that I can't open the same note anymore on my old Note10 phone now. The same action was 100% fine until just maybe a few days ago.

Anyone else have this and how to fix it? I downloaded the older 4.4.39.59apk but it fails to install... can't I downgrade my notes app back a version?

Noticed the format looks different for YouTube links in Notes now vs before.

Ugg....

Supernote Manta is the screen unbreakable?

Posting here so as to get non-biased view. I know the Manta screen is Mobius and has been out for a while and with a good many users. May I ask has it been proven already in its lifetime so far that the Manta screen breakage rate has been really low or even zero because it's plastic? Eink with glass substrate get cracks when treated poorly so when the screen has no glass = genuinely no accidental cracks?

I searched the SuperNote Reddit and really seems nobody posted complaints the otherwise familiar broken eink screens... maybe worth the extra expense after all.

I made a DIY thing for my eReader

An old case of mine was getting well worn and tattered. Instead of binning it (a waste as this one has page turn buttons built-in) I decided to do a thing with it. I can now see my sleep screen through a peekaboo window even with the front sleep cover closed. A great aspect of eink is that the display continues to show stuff even when sleeping so why hide it with a closed opaque cover? There is a gap in the cover that I slipped in a printed double sided cutout just for fun. Stickers will fit in there too. Serendipitous that it kills 2 birds with 1 stone to do a physical version of the "transparant sleep screen image" thing, which I simply couldn't figure out for KoReader nor NeoReader on a Boox. So... does someone already sell a folio case like this for eReaders because I think it's pretty cool even if I do say so myself.

It's a Boox 7.8" b/w Nova Air2.

They should just fire the Sprite packaging team for this new lemon tea product launch already. It's so instantly unappetising... when I look at it I can't mention what it reminds me of.

This is my DIY adding a window to an old page turn button case. I like the idea I can see the eimk screen still evenwith the cover closed.

I have this case, it's fine: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1468654203/personalized-leather-case-for-onyx-boox?ref=yr_purchases

But! The screen on my eink tablet (Boox Go 10.3) just broke. It's 100% my fault, it was in a backpack with my laptop the day of the break.

That said, the break point is clearly from the snap-lock on the case itself, so in the future I'll probably stick to cases with elastic bands. Feels pretty obvious in retrospect

TLDR: If you use a backpack betware the metal button closers, it only takes one mistake to break a screen!

I only have experience with FeelWrite 1 which to me is like a slightly gummy soft surface hence provides a dampening layer for hard metal /ceramic nibs... less tappy writing noise as result and it can't really wear down your hard nib.

Is the Healing Shield brand similar in the material to FeelWrite or just an abrasive film somewhere between a matte anti-glare screen film and the other extreme like sandpaper DooDroo heavy texture type?

Cheers for sharing.

Missus got her Hong Kong automatic driving licence 8 years ago but not driven daily for “reasons”. I think she just needs help bringing up her confidence levels now and train her on the differences of our 3 yr old “new” hybrid car that she’s never driven in before. These things have 360 cameras, no handbrake pedals… much easier than the last one. Any suggestions for quiet roads locally where I can gently coach her. HK Kowloon NT… I was thinking must be industrial parks here or some such where there’s less risk of triggering a big insurance claim (and worse, denting her driving confidence further).

Side thing… hilarious how many HK people go through a lot of effort to get their driving licence and just never drive afterwards! Yes the public transport is great in HK, but such a waste through lack of hours spent behind the wheel that they become terrified after decades of never driving. Or just a ploy to get their spouse to forever chauffeur them😂

Every time I finish with the select laso tool eg after move something, I need to manually click back to the pen to write... is there a setting to auto-revert to last pen used? My Boox Notes works like this already by default when you use a finger to just tap a blank space anywhere away from the currently selected object so I'm a bit surprised StarNote can't do the same. Am I missing a setting ?
