JBL Endurance Peak 3 vs Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 – worth paying more for ANC + daily use?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to decide between two ear-hook style earbuds and would really appreciate real-world opinions.

The two options I’m considering are:

- JBL Endurance Peak 3

- Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

What I need:

- Ear hooks (very important for sport/work)

- Secure fit for small ear canals

- Good bass (I listen mainly to hardcore music)

- Loud enough volume (my previous earbuds felt too quiet)

- ANC for travel / gym / noisy environments

- Good durability (outdoor work + workouts)

- Good battery life

I previously had the Soundcore Sport X20. I liked the fit and stability, but they often felt too quiet. I suspect the issue was my small ear canals and not getting a proper seal.

My question:

Is the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 really worth the extra money compared to the JBL Endurance Peak 3?

Or is the JBL still the better choice if I mainly care about sport use and durability, even without ANC?

I’d especially love answers from people who:

- have tried ear-hook earbuds

- have small ear canals

- use them for both gym + daily life

Thanks a lot!

JBL Endurance Peak 3 vs Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 – is it worth upgrading for ANC?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to decide between two sport earbuds and would really appreciate real user experiences.

My main options are:

- JBL Endurance Peak 3

- Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

What I need:

- very secure fit (ear hooks are important)

- good for small ear canals

- strong bass (I mainly listen to hardcore music)

- good volume (my old earbuds felt too quiet)

- decent ANC (important for travel/plane/gym)

- durability for sports, outdoor work, and gym use

- good battery life

I previously had the Soundcore Sport X20 and liked the fit and stability, but they felt too quiet. I think part of the issue was my small ear canals and poor seal.

Now I'm wondering:

- Are the Powerbeats Pro 2 really worth the extra money compared to JBL Endurance Peak 3?

- Is the lack of ANC on the JBL a big deal in real life?

- Or is JBL still the better value for sport-focused use?

Would love to hear from people who have used either (or both), especially for workouts and daily use.

Thanks!

Powerbeats Pro 2 vs JBL Endurance Peak 3 – Are the Beats really worth paying more?

Hi everyone,

After doing a lot of research and reading countless Reddit threads, I've narrowed my choices down to two earbuds:

- Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

- JBL Endurance Peak 3

Here's what I'm looking for:

- Secure ear hooks (this is a must)

- Good fit for very small ear canals

- Good ANC (important, but not necessarily the absolute best)

- Loud volume

- Strong bass (I mainly listen to hardcore music)

- Good sound quality for everyday use and workouts

- Good battery life

- Durable enough for gym, outdoor work, and travel

I previously owned the Soundcore Sport X20. I liked the ear hooks and stability, but they always felt a bit too quiet. After talking to people on Reddit, I think the main issue was that my small ear canals prevented me from getting a proper seal.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 seem like the better all-round package with ANC and better everyday features, but they're also significantly more expensive.

The JBL Endurance Peak 3 are cheaper, very rugged, and seem to have an excellent fit, but the lack of ANC makes me hesitate.

If you've actually used one or both of these, would you say the Powerbeats Pro 2 are worth the extra money?

Or would you save the money and go with the JBL Endurance Peak 3?

I'm especially interested in opinions from people who:

- have small ear canals,

- work out regularly,

- or have owned both.

Thanks!

Need earbuds with ear hooks AND small ear canals - does this even exist? (€170 budget)I've been researching this for days and I'm honestly stuck.

I'm looking for true wireless earbuds with ear hooks. Ear hooks are non-negotiable because I use them for everything:

- gym

- running

- physical work

- everyday use

Here's my problem:

I previously owned the Soundcore Sport X20. They stayed in perfectly thanks to the hooks, but even the smallest included eartips were too big for my ear canals.

Because of that I had:

- weak seal

- lower perceived volume

- less bass

- worse ANC

A lot of people told me that my main issue probably wasn't the earbuds themselves, but the poor seal caused by my very small ear canals.

So now I'm looking for something that has:

- Ear hooks (required)

- Great ANC

- Strong bass

- High volume

- Works well with very small ear canals

- Android (OnePlus Nord 5)

- Budget: up to about €170

Please don't recommend regular earbuds (Sony, Jabra, Bose, etc.) unless you've personally used them for sports and they genuinely stayed in as securely as ear hooks.

I'm especially interested in hearing from people with very small ear canals.

Does a premium ear-hook earbud that fits these requirements even exist, or am I chasing something that simply isn't on the market?

Thanks!

Need workout earbuds with ear hooks, strong ANC and good sound (110–130€)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for new wireless earbuds after losing my Soundcore Sport X20.

Overall I liked them, but I had two main issues:

They weren't loud enough for me.

I have very small ear canals, so I don't think I ever got a proper seal, which probably reduced the bass, loudness, and ANC performance.

One important thing: I'm specifically looking for earbuds with ear hooks (or another equally secure design). Please don't recommend regular earbuds unless you've personally found them exceptionally secure for sports and they work well for people with small ear canals.

What I'm looking for:

Ear hooks (preferred) or another extremely secure fit

Great fit for small ear canals

At least mid ANC (for travel and noisy environments)

Loud enough, with powerful bass and good overall sound quality (I mainly listen to hardcore music, but also podcasts)

Good battery life

Sweat/water resistance for sports and outdoor work

Budget: 110–130€

Models I've been considering:

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

JBL Endurance Peak series

Jabra Elite Active series (even though they don't have ear hooks)

Are there any other models that fit these requirements? I'd especially love to hear from people with small ear canals or anyone who's tried hook-style earbuds for sports.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Need workout earbuds with ear hooks, ANC and good sound (110–130€)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for new wireless earbuds after losing my Soundcore Sport X20.

Overall I liked them, but I had two main issues:

They weren't loud enough for me.

I have very small ear canals, so I don't think I ever got a proper seal, which probably reduced the bass and ANC performance.

One thing I'd like to make clear:

I'm specifically looking for earbuds with ear hooks (or another equally secure solution). Regular stem-style earbuds don't stay in my ears reliably during workouts and outdoor work.

What I'm looking for:

Ear hooks (preferred) or another extremely secure fit

Good fit for small ear canals

ANC (it should be at least ok)

Good sound quality with powerful bass (I mainly listen to hardcore music and podcasts)

Loud enough for noisy environments (gym, plane, outdoor work)

Good battery life

Budget: 110–130€

I've looked at models like:

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2

JBL Endurance Peak series

Jabra Elite Active series (although they don't have hooks)

Are there any other models I should consider? I'd really appreciate recommendations from people who have small ear canals or use their earbuds for sports.

Thanks!

What wireless earbuds should I get if I have small ear canals and need strong ANC + loud sound?

Hi!

I’m not really sure where to ask this, so I hope this is okay here. (Pls recommend Subreddits, my posts are getting banned everywhere)

I recently lost my old wireless earbuds (Soundcore Sport X20), and I’m trying to figure out what to buy next.

My main issue with them was that they felt too quiet, even at max volume. I think the problem was that they didn’t fit my ears perfectly because I have very small ear canals, which probably also affected the bass and noise cancelling.

What I’m looking for:

  • Earbuds that fit well in small ear canals
  • Good noise cancelling (ANC) for travel and noisy environments
  • Loud enough volume (my main issue before)
  • Good bass (I listen mostly to hardcore music + podcasts)
  • Secure fit for sports / moving around a lot
  • Budget around 110–130€

What I’ve seen so far:

Some people recommend things like:

  • Beats Powerbeats Pro (with ear hooks, very secure fit)
  • JBL Endurance series (also sport-focused)
  • Jabra Elite / Active series (no hooks but good reviews)

But I’m honestly not sure what makes sense anymore or what would actually fix my issue.

My question:

What should I focus on most in my situation — fit (ear hooks), ANC, or something else?
And are there any earbuds that actually work well for small ear canals without losing sound quality?

Thanks a lot for any help 🙏

Need wireless earbuds with ear hooks, strong ANC and loud sound (small ear canals)

Hi,

I lost my Soundcore Sport X20 and I’m looking for a replacement.

My main issue with them was that they were not loud enough, even at max volume. I also think the seal wasn’t good because I have very small ear canals, which likely reduced bass, loudness, and ANC performance.

What I need:

  • Ear hooks (very important for secure fit during sports/work)
  • Very loud output (top priority)
  • Good bass + sound quality (hardcore music + podcasts)
  • Decent ANC (important, but secondary)
  • Good battery life
  • Budget: 110–130€

Context:

  • Small ear canals → fit/seal is critical
  • Lots of movement (sports + outdoor physical work)
  • Previous earbuds likely underperformed due to poor seal

Question:

Are hook-style earbuds like the Beats Powerbeats Pro or JBL Endurance series still the best options in this price range, or are there better alternatives that combine secure fit, high loudness, and decent ANC?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I used to own the Soundcore Sport X20 by Anker, and overall I liked them quiet well. The fit was nice (but I have little ear canals so they didn' t fit that good, they stayed secure during workouts, and the battery life was solid.

My only real issue was that they were quite quiet, even at max volume. I sometimes felt like they just didn’t get loud enough. I can 't even watch some series on a plane.

I recently lost them while I was working in the field at my parents’ farm., so now I’m trying to decide what to get next.

I listen to mainly Hardcore music so good bass would be a nice feature. I listen to podcasts too.

ANC is necessary.

Would you recommend buying the Soundcore Sport X20 again, or are there better wireless workout earbuds available now in a similar price range?

What I care about most:

- secure fit for gym and sports (very important, even for small ear canals)

- loud volume

- good sound quality (especially bass and clarity)

- solid battery life

- sweat/water resistance

- durability in general

Should be in the price range about the same as the sport x20 (80 Euros).

I’d really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences.

Thank you and have a great day!
