I'm nearing 30 with no distinct achievements and I am absolutely terrified of the future

Hey everyone,

I just need to get this off my chest because it's been eating away at me lately, and I'm hoping someone here can relate. I am getting close to my 30th birthday and instead of feeling excited or ready for a new chapter, I am just filled with dread.

When I look back at my 20s, I feel like I have nothing to show for it. I don't have any distinct achievements. It feels like I'm watching everyone around me check off these major life boxes while I am just standing still.

Because of this, I am really scared of the future. I’m terrified that I’ve wasted my potential and that this feeling of being "behind" is just how the rest of my life is going to be. It’s paralyzing.

Has anyone else gone through this exact panic right before turning 30? How did you get past the feeling of inadequacy and the fear of the unknown? Any advice, hard truths or just knowing I'm not alone would really help me out right now.

Sure, let's start a massive new co-op campaign tonight!" - Me, 12 hours ago, before the exhaustion set in. How do y'all not flake on your gaming groups?

I am the master of scheduling raids and multiplayer sessions when I’m bored and in a good mood during the day. Then evening rolls around, I see the Discord notification and I'm instantly looking for a pole to hide behind. How do you guys stick to the gaming schedules you organize without feeling like it’s a second job? Send help (and maybe an excuse I can use tonight).
