Decided to start a watch content channel based on functional testing/review of affordable dive watches. Realized really quickly that it is a LOT of work so I’m building a User Interface to manage all the various workflows. The sketchy part is that I’m big on ideas but very low on know-how so Codex/Chat and Hermes are doing all the heavy lifting for me lol.
He always wants to wear my watches so I got him one of his own. He can’t stop looking at it and reciting the time! I wore my first ever real watch for the occasion as well.
Turns out if you show up to the cigar shop in a Metallica shirt, you’re morally obligated to get the colab shirt as well lol.

Threw a new band on the Duro and I love how it makes the Smurf really pop.
Also, look how well my seasonals are blooming!
The Duro held up flawlessly, even when I got douched a couple times in the rip.
And no I didn’t wear the watch on the mat lol.
Definitely an entry level budget watch, but I recently decided I wanted to start wearing tool watches instead of my Apple Watch after viewing this page and others for a while. Decided that the Duro was a great place to start, and I’m slowly speccing out a list of legit watches that still leave money for family stuff, Warhammer, and travel.
Looking at divers with 200m resistance, lumed face and bezels, reputation for ruggedness and reliability, that also look good on my wrist for ~300$ or less. I’m honestly surprised at how many good watches I’ve found in that price point lol. Ballin’ on a budget with a gov salary, wife and kids isn’t actually impossible lol.
