Warmth and Kindness is a really good beginner song to learn on piano.

The biggest challenge with learning the piano is getting the hands to operate independently so they can play completely different parts, but the nice thing about this piece is that it has a simple melody with a lot of holding out of notes, with the accompaniment only coming in while you're still holding a note out with your right hand so you're free to let your left do its thing.

It does eventually get more complicated and force you to do some simultaneous maneuvering, but even then it's relatively simple and beginner-friendly.

It's also emotional enough to impress people when you play it.

They were crazy wrong about Candace Owens.

I remember them talking about how Candace Owens was the most boring, sauceless conservative commentator. How she had no real audience, that she was just a token black conservative commentator for the Daily Wire that only had value to conservatives for that reason and had no real brand identity or charisma as a content creator.

Now she's ditched the Daily Wire and become the conspiracy commentator and has enough influence to be the reason that the right-wing efforts to weaponize Charlie Kirk's assassination failed: they all turned against Erika Kirk and blame Israel instead of the left because of her.

Hong failed us, not the other way around.

I was watching an interview with her the other day where she was explaining her comments on Thanksgiving and used the phrase 'proximity to whiteness'. And I think that's the perfect encapsulation of why she was a bad candidate.

Instead of just doing her best to nip it all in the bud by saying Thanksgiving is fine and redirecting the conversation to actual issues, she went on a lengthy diatribe which included Proximity To Whiteness. Running as governor. In a purple state that's 80% white.

This is not something a candidate for governor in the bluest of states should be saying, let alone in an extremely white swing state. Woke 1 Twitter lefties aren't the play.

Does Vaush think the DSA should remove prison/police abolition from its platform?

Now that the obligatory Vaush tie-in title is out of the way...

I think the DSA should remove those positions from its policy platform. I don't think they're goals worth aspiring to(they're stupid ideas) and they're way too unattainable to be worth spending any kind of political capital on or tanking any political damage for. If the DSA is actually serious about taking over the Democratic Party it might need to be willing to pare off a few of the more kooky beliefs that don't tie into the pro-working class message.

Frankly I'm irritated by how much discourse around the DSA devolves into "How can anybody take them seriously when they make abolishing prisons and the police central to their policy platform". Honestly it's not an invalid question.

Kyle posting AI slop on his Twitter all the time is his biggest L.

Good gravy, he posts YouTube videos about how evil AI data centers are and then gets on Twitter and AI posts like a Facebook boomer. Doing it to make fun of right-wingers doesn’t make it kosher, Kyle.

Maybe he thinks it's dark woke, but it ain't. It's just cringe.

Got a 7-day ban from the David Pakman subreddit.

Made a post asking if people would be arguing Nazi Germany had the right to exist back then. Got a temp ban with a message saying that holocaust inversion is not allowed and next time it would be permanent.

Anybody here want to talk about how Israel is trying to merge itself with the U.S. military?

Anybody wary of the fact that Israel wants to get its tendrils in the U.S. military? That it wants to make itself so intertwined with the United States that we can't ever separate from Israel? Anybody feel like maybe any of the politicians voting in favor of this are committing treason? Could you imagine if this were being floated with literally any other country? Is anybody starting to wonder which state is the vassal state here? Anybody?

Ro Khanna's odds at being the next president just went way up.

Abducting a U.S. Congressperson is insane, and the fact that there will be no real pushback on it from the U.S. would also be insane if it weren't so expected at this point.

Go harder on Israel, continue leading the charge against the Epstein class, keep building street cred, do more to tap into the well of progressive populism, and take a couple charisma classes, and then you might be able to outdo AOC in 2028. Israel in particular is one of those issues he could really outflank her on to get people to side with him over her.

Nobody ignored or missed Platner’s red flags, they just weren’t as big a red flag as being an establishment Democrat.

Everyone saw the red flags, they were just willing to take a chance on him because Schumer was forcing another useless corporatist geriatric down everyone’s throats because it was Her Turn, and Susan Collins is Susan Collins. Yes, an anti-Zionist who’s pro-M4A who had a Nazi tattoo was a better candidate than Janet Mills. And he STILL IS, based on post-scandal polling.

They liked his gruff aesthetic, and they loved his platform and anti-establishment rhetoric. When an actual credible accusation came along, people rightfully turned on him. Sucks he made it as far as he did, but the Maine Democrats and independents who comprised his voting base weren’t wrong to demand change. Right-wing Dems can try to pretend like his base was blue-hairs and not working class Mainers who hate both parties, and they can try to pretend that this is all the fault of the left to try and stop the progressive movement’s momentum, but it’s not gonna work. Everyone still hates establishment Dems and understands they aren’t on our side and will be electing more anti-estabs and anti-zios accordingly. But hopefully in the future we'll get candidates with more vetting done by organizations that actually vet their candidates. Like the DSA, which Platner was neither a member of or endorsed by.

Feel like it’s weird Kyle hasn’t made a video actually about the Graham Platner allegations yet.

It’s all just been phone recordings where he’s telling Republicans and corporate Dems to shut up because they’re hypocrites.

But where’s the actual studio video discussing the allegations as news? What about one calling for Platner to step down?

Lesson learned: don’t come on cloudy days.

Pretty cloudy day, but it’s set to get sunny later in the afternoon. I figured what the hell, it’s July 4th, probably some people chilling at Denny Blaine.

Nope! Just a homeless lady sleeping on the beach at Howell and one guy standing around at Denny Blaine who I remember also standing around there from when I came a few weeks ago.

Lesson learned, do not make the trip unless sun.

Gretchen Whitmer is evil confirmed.

"We're used to people saying 'fuck no' and doing it anyway. laughs"

-Gretchen Whitmer on hot mic discussing data centers with Oracle CEO

EDIT: I love how all the responses are thought-terminating cliches and such, no actual engagement with the fact that she cavorts with AI CEOs and laughs about governing against the will of the people.

Don't let someone who doesn't believe in anything get the nomination in 2028.

Don't let someone who backflips in and out of positions based on what they think the electorate want get the nomination. Don't let someone who doesn't believe in anything other than their own desire to become President for the sake of being President represent us as the Democratic nominee. Don't let someone who does their damnedest not to have to commit to a policy platform move forward.

Because if you do, we're getting Vance/Carlson in 2028.

>!Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, Pete Buttigieg!<

Chapter 4 must hit so much less hard if you don't do the optional secret boss.

All the other secret bosses are detached and plot-irrelevant enough that you could skip out on them without that chapter's central story being diminished much.

But Gerson? You're going to not fight Gerson, and then have the sequence with the hammer-wielding Gerson statue fighting you based on how he fights in the boss battle? You're going to not fight Gerson, and not get the climax to the arc of him mentoring Suzie that happens throughout the chapter? You're going to not fight Gerson, and have him randomly show up in a badass new armor design you'd never seen before to help you beat the Titan?

It makes me feel like maybe the chapter should've just bucked tradition and had its shardbearer not be an optional fight, because it's a way less cohesive narrative without it.

Oh no, the Democratic Party is actually starting to stand for something!

Can't believe these dastardly progressives are going to ruin all we've done to make the party stand for nothing but preserving the status quo at the behest of our oligarch and Israeli owners.

Maybe we should just jump ship to the GOP? They seem much more in line with our values.

I went and it was cool, I hope it wasn't a one-time only experience

Once the pants came off it didn't feel too weird, didn't feel too judged for my far from ideal body, just sunbathed in the nude for a few hours and did a little swimming.

...Is the law going to take this pleasant experience away from me?

Is it going to be immediate crash? Are we all going to have our lives ruined? Is it going to be a slow but steady descent into devastation? Someone educate me.

Republicans on track to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in 2028.

We’re gonna have nominee Vance or Carlson taking an anti-Israel stance while the Dem nominee is AIPACsplaining to us about how Israel is our ally and cutting off funding to them is anti-Semitic.

Can’t believe Dems are letting Republicans outflank them on this.

I think Iran should have a stipulation that the U.S. has to explicitly state that it has lost the war and is surrendering.

They should 100% make Congress pass a declaration stating as such, or make Trump make an address declaring such. Don't let them save face by pretending like it's not a loss or a surrender and that invading Iran was a success in any way. Humiliation rituals are a necessary step to get the U.S. past its view that it's the ruler of the world and can do no wrong.
