Slow mail friendship
Hello everyone,
I'm almost 30 (I'm 29, but the rules said it's enough) and I'd like to have a pen pal both to improve my english (or German, or Hungarian) and maybe one day traveling to visit them (or them to visit me).
Slow mail (or snail mail) is when you are intentionally very slow to answer. The best way to do it is sending physical letters, but I don't want to give my house address to someone I barely know... so starting with e-mail/Discord is a better option, I guess ?
I prefer slow relationships (one mail per month is perfect for me, but we can start by one per week to know each other better before taking the decision to continue) because I'm easily overwhelmed by obligation, deadlines and to much "Todo list". I'm diagnosed with ADHD but not autistic...but I've got some difficulties with pathological demand avoidance (PDA) and time blindness. PDA is the main reason I can't answer quickly... It's weird but even if I'm the one who started the conversation, I can't stand the injunction of answering and need a lot of time to be relieved from the "fight or flight" reaction it induces. I'm trying to "fix", or at least training myself to be more flexible and the slow mail friendship is also a way for me to learn to respect deadlines and obligations without too much pressure. Same with time management.
I wrote M4F because the cliché said they are more kind and respectful of boundaries. But of course, it's just a cliché and if you are a man who doesn't belittle others and can understand that a boundary is uncrossable, I'll be happy to be your pen pal 😁
I'm french, I'm a transgender man and I like writing queer fantasy books, worldbuilding and conlangs (imaginary languages). I used to be a software engineer, but I took a 2 years break and now it's too difficult to find a job again, so I became an artist. I'm surprised because I found a job at creative Coffee easily and now my life is cosy and happy 😊
I love drawing characters, sculpting portraits and I do a little bit of crochet and sewing. I write french poetry and english music lyrics, but I'm not good enough in english. I'm a beginner at book binding. I have too many hobbies, most of them are artistic or scientific (linguistics, physics, maths, psycho, sociology, etc..)
