Had to buy a replacement nib assembly $100 US for my new Pilot Vanishing Point pen. I dropped it days after getting it - fortunately the pen wasn't scratched as it landed on the soft crumple zone - the nib! 😳

Oh well, it was half the price of a new pen to fix it.

I am a huge Kindle fan and deep into my Kindle library investment. But I was wrong about bigger Kindle devices, after using the X4 for the last four months, now I just want the Kindle library and functionality on a tiny lightweight device (with backlighting, so more like the new X4 Pro).

I have hundreds of non-Digital Rights Mgmt. books (e.g. classic literature) from various legal sources for the X4, so I will not run out of material to carry on the X4 anytime soon- but it would be great to pocket a Kindle synced book mid-story.

I have this Kaweko Sport and love the Extra Fine EF nib... having other brands with EF, and knowing not all EF nibs across brands are the same ... could I expect an EF Kaweko desktop pen to be the same nib size / writing experience?

I added a foldable chess board to the back of my A5 disc bound notebook.

I printed the optimal sized board on paper and ran the page through a plastic laminator machine before punching the disc notches with my TUL punch. I also sliced the board and used packing tape as the hinge-fold.

I still carry the plastic pieces separately; but have considered making laminated flat pieces to carry in a disc-bound pocket.

Going minimalist on this trip.

Purchased light for X4 but found I can use it for my Disc Notebook too.

Made an insert for my Disc Notebook to carry the X4 eReader using the supplied metal rings.

Shown here is my A7 and A6 disc notebook; I can move the insert to my A5 and A4 notebooks as needed.

I had two hours to myself, and used them to stay focused with my typewriter this weekend.

each has a slightly different purpose, and obviously the smaller they are the more portable they are; also like the fact that pages can migrate from smallest into the largest
