Was In Rit Mech, Today Chose Civil at Gec Thrissur(Hometown)

I can join mace in apot if i want mech at there as i already could have joined amd deliberately avoided mace and joined rit kottayam. Now im confused if i made the wrong choice, Is Mace Better than Rot for Mech??

So my Rank is 87xx, mu obc student. In some last ranks and stray allotments have seen around 8k rank for mechanical at gec thrissur. As my rank are pushing towards 9k dont know anything, is there even a tiny hope to get in there as im in thrissur. Also what r the next good colleges for mech
