You would expect this to be possible. But since it's not... it's another bad reason to take the ladder gadget
Received a 3 day ban for answering a AskReddit question. Can anyone explain to me what happened?
3 days ago there was a post on AskReddit asking "What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve seen on the internet?".
Remembering something quite disgusting and disturbing from years ago, and not seeing anyone else mentioning it, i gave my answer about a certain porn-fetish that caused some outrage a while back (obviously not writing it again because i might get banned again).
I even included an article of UK Telegraph about the outrage this fetish caused on the internet.
Instantly after posting, i received a 3 day ban for "threatening or encouraging violence". I appealed but received no answer before the time of the ban got removed.
I would like to know why or what caused this ban and if I now have a strike on my account or something.
Inadvertently played RDR2 for 6 hours when i wanted to play RDR1
Had a free day today and decided to finally play Red Dead Redemption. It’s been on my todo list forever and was even already installed on my PS5, I just never actually started it.
Played the first 2 missions on MacFarlane Ranch and started wondering if that ranch was also in Red Dead Redemption 2. Haven't played that game in a couple of years.
So I saved the game and booted up RDR2 real quick to check. And yeah, the ranch is there indeed… (minus the barn)
Then I noticed I still never finished the Rock Faces quest. Figured I might as well finish that while I was there…
Before I knew it, it was dinner time.
Fuck.
- Computer Type: Desktop
- GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 6800 Phantom Gaming D OC 16GB
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X3D 8-core 16-thread
- Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk
- BIOS Version: “latest stable”
- RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600MHz (2x16GB)
- PSU: Corsair RM750 750W 80+ Gold
- Operating System & Version: Windows 11
- GPU Drivers: AMD Adrenalin (latest stable version)
- Chipset Drivers: AMD B550 chipset drivers (latest version)
- Background Applications: Discord, Brave browser, Steam (varies depending on session)
Description of Original Problem:
I am experiencing intermittent GPU/display driver hangs while gaming.
During gameplay (across multiple different games, not a single title), my display will suddenly:
- Go completely black OR
- One monitor goes black while the other freezes on a static frame
- Keyboard and mouse input stop responding
- Audio continues normally (game/Discord/Spotify keeps playing)
- System does NOT fully crash or reboot
- No BSOD is shown
The system can be fully recovered instantly using Win + Ctrl + Shift + B, which resets the GPU driver and restores the display without needing a reboot.
The issue appears to happen randomly but most commonly:
- During gaming sessions
- Often when alt-tabbing or switching focus between game and desktop
- Sometimes with a browser open in the background (Brave), but not always required
- Dual monitor setup is always active when the issue occurs.
Because audio continues and the system is recoverable via GPU reset, this strongly suggests a GPU driver hang rather than full system instability.
Troubleshooting:
- No CPU or GPU overclock applied
- Temperatures appear normal under load
- Issue occurs across multiple games
- Happens with different background application states (browser sometimes, but not always)
- System fully recovers with GPU driver reset shortcut (Win + Ctrl + Shift + B)
- No BSOD or full system crash observed
At this point I suspect either:
- AMD driver instability (RX 6000 series)
- Multi-monitor / compositor issue (possibly MPO related)
- Alt-tab / fullscreen transition bug
I have not yet performed a clean driver reinstall (DDU) or disabled MPO.
