How can I be as easy as possible to work with?

In the event where I go into a job where I'm overseen by IT and not an IT guy myself, how can I be as easy to work with as possible? I know my way around computers (feel free to check my profile for proof), but I've seen horror stories where end users say "I know computers" but then are hell to work with.

And by work with, I mean being overseen by as an end user, if that makes sense.
