saw a zeppelin poster in here and made me want to ask what’s Griselda fan’s other favorite music genre.

Or at least GxFR sub members. What’s y’alls other favorite music type? We hear Griselda, Umbrella, Lord Mobb etc all use samples from multiple genres and countries and name drop a many. Metal & Reggae is the shit. Very little to no metal samples but Reggae samples are easier to find with Nack, Planet Asia, the one Benny and Gunn song with the reggae sirens 🔥 cant remember the title

Robert Kirkman needs to turn the TellTale series and Saints & Sinners into its own show.

Lee and Clementine’s story is legendary. Sad we never got them in live action. Saints and Sinners… smh. I’m glad it’s based in my hometown but I do not wanna play a VR game lol. I would like to see them and the city of New Orleans in the walking dead universe on small screens. And New Orleans will show them so much love. Remember when Jon Bernthal went to New Orleans? lol

Are there any artist the 90s and 2000s of Reggae that match the sounds of 70s and early to mid 80s Roots?

I love reggae. In my top 4 genres of music. My favorites are Black Uhuru(Rose era), Hugh Mundell, Cultural Roots, Linval Thompson, Barrington Levy, Johnny Clarke.. I like Rod Taylor, Barry Brown, Patrick Andy, The Heptones, Tetrack, Capital Letters, Sly & Robbie, Ini Kamoze, Eek A Mouse, Don Carlos, Pablo God, Lacksley Castell, Noel Phillips, Littel John, Toyan, Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Dillinger, Yabby You, Johnny Osbourne, etc…….. I know a lot of 70s and 80s roots(but I’m sure there’s still rare ones out there I haven’t heard so recommend some so I can see who I don’t know).

I also know that reggae pretty much faded out and died off a bit with the rise of Dance Hall (as the same as a lot of other genres and subgenres) which I’m not as much of a fan of like I am with Reggae but Tenor Saw and Nitty Gritty is my shit.

Also, another thing, I never really cared for 90s reggae and I stayed away from 2000s reggae. Which is why I’m here. I have tried 90s reggae a few times(artist who cane up in the 90s or 88 & 89, but it never hit my like the original roots eras music. And it definitely has a kinda of different sound(which is normal because genres develop further on), and vocal didn’t hit for me the same way from what i remember..

I’m here to ask for great 90s reggae and early 2000s (but heavy on the 90s) recommendation from 90s artist that don’t fully hit the dance hall mark and no genre blending. Are there any that give you the same vibe or feeling or soul or whatever of maybe a Burning Spear or Hugh Mundell or Sly & Robbie type production? I don’t want to search they by google, I want them from yall. The daily listeners

Falling Skies deserves a reboot. Like a 2nd chance.

Falling Skies was an amazing concept for a TV show. I haven’t ever seen any other alien invasion/militant style show. The Walking Dead had just cracked the code in perfecting Zombie television. This show was supposed to be just that but with aliens. And while it was that, I feel like Falling Skies didn’t do the justice it was supposed to. The plot was great. The designs and the world was cool, the alien life forms was dope.. but, the show lacked something the writing and the tone was off to me. Maybe because it had a big show feel and under delivered? Idk. Imagine if someone like Frank Darabont or Guillermo del Toro directed Falling Skies…. Now. I say this because I want more from this IP. Falling Skies can be a great big property. I would want a new show, new characters/actor, bigger budget feel, darker tone, new alien designs, new perspective etc.

If The Walking Dead is your favorite show of all time

What is your 2nd or 3rd favorite show or maybe 4th. What do yall think comes close or just as gripping and intense and mysterious. If if it’s not your number one, what do you place above it?

Being Black at a Metal Show

I hit this blunt and listening to Witchtrap so I feel like typing this 😂 Being a black dude at a metal show has to be like one of the best things ever. I love you motherfuckers. Metal is my favorite music genre of all time. Scratch that. Is THE greatest music genre in all of existence. I blast that shit all down the highway. Red lights and all 😂😂and I wear my metal shirts proudly. I don’t give af what’s in the front as far as being shocking…Whenever I find myself at a metal which wasn’t so many, so many come to talk to you. And with black people and metal not being the norm, all I wanted to talk to somebody back as a youngin about metal but I never got that for real besides my brother. Whenever I did meet someone is school that was into it was mostly only like surface level stuff that we all know. Iron Maiden, Metallica, slipknot, System of a Down, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, etc. and everything else just radio bands and I would always end up knowing a shit ton more bands than they do. Listening numerous bands by sub genre. I could talk hours about just metal knowing so many bands from the 80s. Especially in the Thrash Metal department. And when even Metal isnt even the norm in general, at metal shows that’s like the best thing to have people who finally get you to come talk about all the same bands you’ve known about for years or get invited into the pit. And especially when you’re introverted as fuck. It’s really just a family when you aren’t dealing with online elitst😂 you fuckers are cool as shit. I’d much rather than any rap show ever lol. Or any other genre fr And there’s a lot of newer rappers of today I want to see in the lyrical underground. And I say this as a person who produces trap beats😂 I also find it funny how metalheads are supposed to be satanic and evil and mean or racist when really we’re just some of the most happiest and/or friendliest people ever. Even if not those, we know we all still have one thing in common. That metal in our blood haha. I’m 28 and my job is the most metalheads ive been around on a daily basis. They’re all 10 plus years older than me but they’re cool…. My favorite metal bands(some). Overkill, Metal Church, Slayer, Death, Rotting Christ, Morta Skuld, Cancer, Cannibal Corose, Hammerfall, Witchery, Witchtrap, Deathhammer, Powermad, Beliver(Pennsylvania), Iron Maiden(yes, I like Paul era better but yes Bruce is better obviously), King Diamond & Mercyful Fate, Exciter, Omen(Los Angeles), Municipal Waste, Sarcófago, Motörhead, Exhorder, Judas Priest, Pantera, Atheist, Cynic, Watchtower, etc…. And so many favorite albums of other bands. Thrash, Death, Traditional Heavy, Speed, Black, Groove, Power, Stoner, Doom, Math, Djent, Deathcore, Punk, Crossover, Blackend Thrash, Grindcore, etc. Also trying to try other genres but idk which I wanna try. Like ones that I didn’t like or care for nor bother to listen to back then. Like Symphonic, Blackend Death, Folk, Drone, idk.
