Wear on Barrel & hood on BRAND NEW gun? Never shot before

I bought a Springfield Echelon 4.0c comp brand new, and upon takedown I noticed wear on the barrel. Is this normal? I contacted Springfield and they offered to inspect under warranty but I kinda don’t wanna go through the process of sending the gun back and waiting. Thoughts?
