Are managers allowed to reveal this info in mid year check in? My manager has hinted that they are considering me for next level (I had not asked for promotion explicitly). How confirmed are these MY promo. info.
Yesterday, I was out with my mother for weekly vegetables and grocery run. There was a drunkard walking beside us who was loudly exclaiming in hindi (translated to English) - If you have a wife in Mumbai who does not prepare food by 6 PM she is a prostitute (r word). If she orders food from outside she is a slut.
Along with this he was spewing all nonsense on a very busy street. Women were not stepping in for each other and neither was anyone calling police for obvious safety reasons. Men were ignoring and giggling. Nome of them stood up for women dignity by slapping him hard.
It amazes me that in a tier 1 city someone can escape escort free from consequence by abusing women. Apart form this my neighbor (who is local goon, politically affiliated and has a mistress living with him and his wife in same house with his illicit daughter from this mistress) had verbally abused vile things about my widowed mother and me in spite of no fault of my family but no one interviened from a posh gated society.
It stings that how are men able to use such filth against women with no consequences in Mumbai? Imagine if the genders were reversed, we women would have been witch hunted, each one of us. What do you think can be done?
For term structure and volatility model questions in part 2, would we be given realization of draw (dw) value in the exam or are expected to calculate?
If I have received an external recruiter call regarding big 4 job opportunity and my profile is a loose match (say 60% of what they are looking for), how much should I bother about the call?
The recruiter sounded extremely confident, although I know my profile would have appeared on her list through keyword search. How much probability can we place on hiring manager actually interviewing after external staffing agency call? It's been more than a day with no J.D. share even though she mentioned it will be shared and interviews will be in quick succession.
I had received a call yesterday from a 3rd party agency recruiter sourcing for PWC (market and liquidity risk), who asked a couple of questions like relevant work ex fit for risk, notice period, expected CTC (she herself inflated it), work location details.
She said that I would receive the JD and interviews might be in a quick succession. While I feel that I may not have all relevant experience they are looking for but my profile got through because of keyword search. I do have front office support experience at JPM buy side.
It has been more than a day with no JD share. What are the chances of resume being rejected at hiring manager stage? How much can I trust external recruiter words? Typical timeline for risk consulting at PWC? Any standard process?
