Brief background, I sold an item for £250 - buyer then wants a return saying the item is defective. I sold it in full working order, I used it myself.

So I get the item back, clear evidence it's been tampered with, seals broken, missing screws and its very evident that parts have been swapped. There is a site ID in this electronic device which cannot be changed by the user, only specialist technical centres can do this. My device now shows another site ID, as a result of the parts swap.

I raise this with eBay, they have found in my favour so I don't lose out.

But, they have also refunded the buyer (at cost to eBay) - that I have an issue with on principle!

Why would eBay do that with the clear photo evidence plus other evidence that the buyer has been tampering?

Hello. I have an item listed for collection only. As I understand, for ebay to release the payment, the buyer has to scan a QR code when here?

This morning, someone bought the collection only item and now is asking me to pack the item and they can arrange for DPD to collect?

I've got it in my mind that I want a Tempur (ease or pro). I have a bit of a bad back and it is significantly better when ever I sleep on a Tempur which is at my inlaws, it's very firm and lovely.

Hello, for a registered LTD business address and also the company director address, are there any drawbacks or nasty surprises for using one of these services I can sign up for on a website?

My accountant can provide this for £120+VAT, which is almost double what the websites do. I'm thinking the only benefit to using the accountant is that it's very local for collecting general business mail.

Hi all, for making my own cables, which cable would you recommend? I've knocked some up with RG58 (I know, I know), but as I want to make more, I think I need better cable.

Has anyone here been able to successfully create a VM of an XP computer? I have an XP SP2 laptop and I'd like to create a VM. I've tried VMConverter versions 6.6.0 and V6 for XP and neither worked.

The XP version said something along the lines of "failed to connect 443 local host" and the later version didn't want to install. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I bought MS Office via groupon. It has an invalid activation code. Groupon say they can't do anything about it. I'm stuck with software which is locked up and I need it asap.

Will report to trading standards and in the meantime will have to go and buy it from elsewhere.

Hi, I'm using Simatic Manager v5.7 and am trying to download to the plc. I keep getting the message "unable to reach the module via the online interface".

I'm connecting via ethernet. I can see the PLC there, I can ping to it, TCP/IP is selected as the PG. What else could be going wrong? All searches haven't been able to help. Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to find out how to talk to the CPU313SC (313x6cf03). I've got Step 7 v5.7 and TIA Portal v17 and neither are listing exactly that model. I've exhausted my google! Thanks.

At work we have some newish equipment which was never used, it's now being disposed of. I have saved the S7 300 (CPU315F-2DP) from one machine and from the other I have saved a Speed 7 (CPU 313SC).

Now, the only free software I'm aware of is Codesys, will I be able to talk to these with Codesys and use ladder? the CPU313 has an ethernet port, like the Allen Bradley's I am used to, will this communicate to a computer as it is via the ethernet? I'm aware I may need something else for the 315F. Thanks.
