Just began cutting up my fender liner to make these non-functional air duct’s functional.

I am reading oil temps as high as 300F in this 90-100 summer heat whilst going 80 on the freeway.
Water temps stay comfortable at 170-200 under the same conditions.
300F oil temps normal? Should I be concerned?
FYI: A water pump and thermostat are on the to-do list for I am reaching 100k miles soon.
