What are the chances that the Ashokan Stupa at Kanchipuram is still buried somewhere in Kanchipuram ?

The 7th-century Chinese traveler Xuanzang noted a 100-foot-tall stupa built by Emperor Ashoka in Kanchi, but modern experts and archaeologists have not yet found the physical site.

Many Historians see several of Myanmar's modern problems a direct result of the 1937 Establishment of Burma Crown Colony (Partition of Burma from British India) . How do you see that ?

Several Historians(Like Sam Dalrymple ) link Myanmar's modern ethnic conflicts to 1937's partition and establishment of Burma Crown Colony. They say that before 1937 , much of Burmese Society (Yangon in particular ) was a plural society and was tolerant of "outsiders" like Indians , Chinese , British etc . The partition gave fuel to Burmese nationalism which later transformed into "Bamar nationalism " and gave way to the multiple ethnic insurgencies

I personally disagree with this as it seems very Indo-Centric and simplistic .As much as I know , the 1937 Partition has been wiped out from the minds of the people of Myanmar( I might be wrong ).

Cuffe Parade , Bombay , India

Built in the early 20th century as Bombay's South Kensington , Cuffe Parade consisted of several indo-saracenic buildings facing the Back Bay .

Sadly the whole neighbourhood was demolished in the 1970s. Now several "modern" apartments and Mumbai World Trade Centre are located at its place
