I live in Germany, where it’s normal not to place very heavy items on the conveyor belt. As a matter of fact, I’ve been warned by cashiers before for doing this, since it can break the belt. Anyway, today we had two very heavy, large water bottle packs, each containing six 1.5L bottles. The belt was already full with the rest of our groceries, and people behind us in line had already started packing their own stuff onto it too. So I told my dad not to worry about it and to just hold one pack up to the cashier so she could scan it once and enter the quantity as two on the register.

The cashier heard this and snapped at me, saying, “No, all items have to be placed on the conveyor belt.” I said something like, “Why? You can just scan it while he holds it up.” She replied something like, “I could do that, but everything has to be out of the cart and on the belt.” She was rude overall, from her tone to the way she was ordering me around.

I was trying to hold back, but I was already annoyed, so my tone got rude and confrontational too, and I asked her, “Won’t that break the belt?” By then my dad had already lifted both heavy packs out from under the cart. (For context: we had a large plastic crate for shopping brought from home, plus a small empty carton from the store. Before checkout, I was parked near the frozen aisle waiting for my dad to grab a few things we’d forgotten, and he used that carton to carry them back. Both containers were still sitting in the cart at checkout, so if this was about shoplifting prevention, it didn’t add up. Plenty of other cashiers let you just hold a pack up to scan, and even appreciate it, since they don’t have to lift it themselves.)

My dad ended up setting the packs at the end of the register, not even on the belt, and she scanned them anyway. I said, “See, it works.” I think she said something back, but I was listening to my dad, who told me I should behave better, probably not because of what I said, but because my tone wasn’t great, since I was close to losing my patience. Am I the asshole?

I am excited that we will probably get an expansion someday, especially since I am hoping for even more regular Ford cars, but I am worried that it's going to take as long as the original process... Is there anyway ya'll could tell us if expansions usually take less or same or more time? I would really appreciate it.

I am currently watching "Russian Doll" and when Stan is sitting in the car with Piper they discuss how to evade the CIA, since they will come after both of them if Stan doesn't surrender Piper, anyhow Stan says "We'll lie low for a few years, then I'll come back for Francine and Rogu.". That's the only two he wants to come back for, hinting on either a known bond between Rogu and Stan that I am not aware of, or an underlying attachment. Can anybody enlighten me as to why Stan is seemingly attached to Rogu?

I am asking because Mobile UI is pretty sparse, for example we can't even turn on fog lights, we can't use the flashing lights feature, we can't see how much we have left in the tank, stuff like that... Would be really happy if someone would tell me if anything is planned or in the works
