Gold or silver?
I also included rose gold in the last picture! My camera seems to be correcting white balance which is throwing things off… last picture is closest to what my skin looks like irl

In the future I’d like to try a pale foundation and red eyeshadow for an even more realistic look. I also feel like this outfit is missing a belt
A couple weeks ago I posted asking for advice as I was massively overthinking my style and didn’t know where to go from there. Since then I followed your advice and I tried to better style and accessorise my outfits and overall I feel like I’m finally getting somewhere, at least most of my outfits do feel like me. I crocheted the black shrug myself. I usually wear the short black dress with the layered necklace, but I don’t have pictures with it.
What do you think? Any other tips?
The tag says it’s 100% certified organic cotton and the fabric feels high quality so either way it was a good purchase
I’m French and always wear 39 shoes (in Dr Martens for example). I got these in the Paris shop and the seller said they were true to size and he didn’t have 40 so I got these 39 despite feeling they were too small. I decided to exchange them after a few days of wearing at home. Size 40 is perfect, especially with my orthotic insoles. It makes sense because compared to the online sizing chart, my feet was only 1mm shorter than the 39 shoe measurement, which was obviously way too small
Don’t worry I don’t actually work out in this outfit this is just what I wear for the commute and then I get changed into normal gym clothes.
Ofc I don’t support JKR but I still think looking ghastly is a goal ahaha
I honestly find them incredible, I got them in an official New Rock store so I know there are no issues with quality, shipping or sizing etc.
I deal with chronic pain due to EDS and I am aware this is not the best shoe for that, but I do not intend to wear them everyday. They feel super comfortable and I can wear my orthotics with them. The main issue is their weight and height, but hopefully that shouldn’t be an issue with occasional wear.
I’d love to get some feedback about how comfortable they are for regular wear and whether some of you have had issues with them!
After years of experimenting with different haircuts, this has to be my favourite one. I got it in a curly hair salon, after my first time going there I’ve never gone back to normal salons. The haircut is good for sensory issues, long enough for my curls to show, rather androgynous and alt. Wanted to share because I’ve struggled so much my whole life with my hair that I didn’t think it would ever be possible to be satisfied with it for good 🥺
Routine:
- shampoo twice: garnier fructose curl method shampoo (I change shampoos every once in a while), and clarify with Kalia nature shampoing à la baie Saint Thomas about once a month
- conditioner: Kalia nature après shampoing à la sapote
- leave in: Kalia nature crème au muru muru
- gel: Kalia nature gelée à l’hibiscus
- plop in microfiber towel, let air dry or diffuse
- every morning I refresh my hair by sprawling water and letting air dry then scrunching. In winter I diffuse my hair instead of letting air dry
On Saturday my partner called an ambulance for me (26F) as I was in horrible 9/10 abdominal pain, writhing on the floor unable to talk, with really bad nausea too. They didn’t find anything in the ER and sent me home with pain meds and prescriptions for tests if the pain persists.
Fast forward to today, since the pain wasn’t getting better, I did the tests and it turns out I have a 6.3cn hemorrhagic ovarian cyst, it has bled into my abdomen which is why I had such wide sprain severe pain. My GP advised that I see a gynaecological surgeon as it might need to be removed since it’s large and bleeding. I have an appointment on Monday.
I work in a hospital so I ask my colleagues for a first opinion, they talked with the gynaecological surgeon there and apparently my cyst just needs to be monitored in 3 months and they only do surgery if I get ovarian torsion or if I start losing a lot of blood.
However I’ve been in severe pain everyday since, I’m on 4 different pain medications including opioids, and I basically can’t leave my house because even a small walk triggers big spikes of pain. So overall it’s not really getting better. I also have digestive issues because of the cyst and struggle to eat enough.
I want to get ready for my appointment on Monday and I wonder if I should advocate for myself to get the surgery? I have to admit it would ease my mind, I can’t imagine just waiting for 3 months on lots of pain meds, especially since I already have chronic joint pain from hEDS. I’m also a powerlifter and it’s one of the things that keep me alive and I can’t imagine just not going to the gym for months? I’m a PhD student and also can’t work in this much pain… I feel like I’ll really be left to myself with a possibly dangerous cyst if they decide to not operate, as they keep telling me I could develop complications and should go back to the ER if I get super severe pain that doesn’t go away even with all the pain meds…
As the title says, I’ve been massively overthinking my style lately and it’s actually pretty exhausting. I’ve been spending hours on Vinted trying to find things that feel “right”, overthinking every outfit, and feeling like I’m a loser for not having figured it all out immediately.
I’ve had a variety of styles overtime, from art hoe as a teenager, then I was a lot into dopamine dressing / very bright and colourful clothes when I was a wheelchair user (it draws the attention away from the disability), and since I’m a PhD student I’ve also always been into dark academia.
I also draw inspiration from Japanese fashion, alt or not, and when I read the green Yuri manga and Nana, something clicked and I really felt strongly drawn towards the grunge / punk aesthetic there. I’m a metalhead and listen to rock as well, so it felt right anyways.
But that meant having to change my wardrobe a lot, and I am pretty overwhelmed with everything, all the different styles, and how to style a piece etc. I usually love wearing more androgynous clothes that would be closer to grunge, but lately I’ve been drawn to romantic goth clothes as well.
I guess what I’m coming here for is advice on where to start, how to style this as every outfit I wear feels very bare, and how do I incorporate colour? I love all black fits but I don’t want my entire wardrobe to be black, I also love deep jewel tones and autumn colours. What could I be looking for on Vinted? What could help me accessorise my outfits or make them more interesting? What’s an everyday outfit formula that could work?
Edit to add: don’t worry, I do not actually work out in the outfits pictured in my gym selfies :) I get changed in actual activewear before training haha
I wanted to share the results of years of trying different short curly haircuts, and finally finding the one that feel most “me”!!
I only go to a curly hair salon, and each time I went I was happy with the result, but quickly found something wrong with it after my hair started to grow. I’ve never liked the hair growing on my face / around my ears, sometimes creating a “helmet” around my face.
My current hairstyle (pic 1) is my favourite! It’s hard to see from this angle but it leaves room around the ears, while maintaining a long structure with layers in the back. It’s the best sensory trade off I have found, while leaving my piercings visible and being androgynous!
Routine:
Shampoo twice, I alternate between a dermatologist prescribed shampoo and a gentle shampoo like Kalia nature hibiscus shampoo. I clarify once a month with Kalia nature baie St Thomas shampoo
Condition with Kalia nature après shampoing à la sapote
Plop with microfiber towel
Then add leave in, Kalia nature crème au muru muru
Then scrunch in gel, Kalia nature gelée à l’hibiscus
Then let air dry and in the morning I spray with water and diffuse. Sometimes I use Kalia nature spray à l’hibiscus to refresh.
I sleep with a satin pillowcase
As you can see I love Kalia nature hehe
And if so, which subseason?
I’ve added some older drapes by the end, same place and same time of day but they were done in winter which is why they may look cooler.
I’ve been typed as a true or deep autumn bordering deep winter on here. But since then, I’ve shown my drapes to family members and they said that the rust one is my worst colour, which I feel couldn’t be true for an autumn. I also feel like wearing beige makes me look kinda ill.
I feel like deep and muted colours are my best, but I’m not sure how I feel about black, since I look a bit yellow next to it. I’m trying to dress more alternative and love black so I have lots of black pieces, but I’m not sure how to make them work?
Also, does gold look good on me or should I consider switching to silver?
PS: I know my phone is adjusting white balance a lot but I haven’t found a way to change it 😅
