Which hairstyle looks better??

Help! Idk which hairstyle looks better. I've been trying to style my mullet differently and I played around and got these 2 styles. The first one is it all pushed to the front, the second is pushed to the side... Thoughts?

my hair stylist fucked up my hair so badly... how do I salvage this..?

The first two photos are what I asked for, the last photo is what I got.... How do I salvage this? What can I even do?? Please I'm literally desperate for ideas- she literally took off like four inches- how do I fix this?? What haircuts can I do from this??? I don't care how wild or crazy- I just need SOMETHING

Edit: first two photos are NOT me, they are photos I found on Pinterest

Edit two: I had a mohawk before this and the point of this haircut was to have something "lower maintenance" and fluffy for the first time in years, the point was to get rid of my Mohawk for something fluffier which is why I'm upset because she literally just cut off over four inches of hair and did nothing else even though I explicitly told her I only wanted about an inch cut off... She also messed up my bangs by cutting one side insanely short (literally to my scalp) and didn't fix it up even though I pointed it out and she said "it's not my fault it looks weird, thats just your hair", she was also incredibly rude and when I tried to explain to her what I wanted she just kept telling me "I know what I'm doingyou don't need to micromanage me"

Update!! I've spent the last few hours looking through Pinterest, I made a few alternations to my hair, and I'm actually sort of vibing with how I've styled it at the moment, I'll add the photo to the comments, thank you to everyone in the comments saying that it looks good, I think I was just in some kind of shock- now that I've had some time to sit on it and play around with it I feel a lot better about it

I'm Stuck In Alt Fashion Limbo

For context, I live in a super ultraconservative household, so if I even attempted to dye my hair or get piercings I'd be executed, which I'd really rather not have happen to me.

So basically, I've been slowly developing my wardrobe to fit more into the style I'm going for, but I've hit a sort of roadblock since the natural progression would be dying my hair or getting piercings (which I just can't do). So, I've just been going around as a regular guy wearing alt-esque clothing and look like a stupid larper cause that's all I have. Genuinley where am I supposed to go after this, I want to get further into the style but can't.
Does anyone know any other paths I can take to further my fashion cause I'm out of ideas that won't tick off the fam.

Advice on how to bleach raccoon tails on curls?

I'm posting this here because I assume people with alternative fashion and more experience dying their hair diy and at home would know the best products to use. The first photos are my inspiration for the color and placement I want, the last photo is of my hair, I don't know if it makes a difference but my hair is usually bigger and more of a fro since I cut it a bit, it just might make it harder to see the pattern.

I am asking mostly because I wanna know good bleaches and a routine to not damage my curl pattern 😊any advice appreciated

How to wear this thing?

I have had a hard time trying to wear this, couldn't find anything on google. Does anyone have an idea where what part of the body should go?

Good places for this look that isn't poor quality shein?

hi all! I got a job recently (employment, yay!) I can afford more expensive brands. I mean, I obviously want to get the best deal on clothes, but I will pay more as long as it's better quality than shein/romwe and their love for polyester... I like the sort of grunge / y2k look a lot. I thrift, but don't have much luck (there's a lot of resellers in my area and I can't go to the thrift stores on the best days cause..work).

I saw a post on here with lots of great stores, but most of them were goth and to be honest I don't have the energy or time to go full goth with makeup and clothes often😞

I like rhinestones, baggy jeans (or bootcut/low rise). bonus points if they're big chest/broad shoulder friendly! I struggle to find fitted tops that don't make my shoulders and arms look big but still hug my waist nicely. but it's not a must, I can sew larger clothes if needed! but I do also wear baggy clothes sometimes. but tbh, I can thrift graphic tees pretty easily.

thanks!

Why aren’t there any more cool platform shoe designs nowadays?

I really wish there were more cool shoes like the old Swear London’s or Gordon jacks, but it seems like all these platform shoes went out of production in the 90’s/2000’s, and there really isn’t that big of market quality wise even though alternative fashion is still pretty popular. I also feel like the newer shoes (New Rocks/Demonia) just look cheaper in general compared to older ones, but that might just be a matter of personal taste on my part.

Alternative as a teacher

Hello, I am a about to go into my first year’s student teaching, and I realized that my personal style isn’t exactly compatible with traditional ideas of professionalism, especially not in a place like the education industry. Also doesn’t happen that the options for men as teachers are horribly under represented. I’m really just trying to figure out what I should do because how I normally dress obviously isn’t suitable for the classroom but also I don’t wanna just look bland and boring. Plus I need to retain some functionality because I’m working in elementary school so I have to be moving around constantly.

I’m just kind of lost on where I can go because I don’t wanna sacrifice my personal style, but I still want to comply with dress code

90s costume party, but would like to make it alt!

Hello, I'm going to a 90s costume party, but as an alt person, I would rather dress something leaning that way. The rules are to dress as someone from 90s TV, film, music or music video - basically not just generic 90s fashion. I was born late 90s so everything I've been thinking of has been early 2000s 😭

Any suggestions? The best ones I've come up with so far is Mia Wallace from pulp fiction or Gwen Stephanie from one of the no doubt music videos as they lean slightly that way whilst keeping it recognisable. Or maybe Trinity from the matrix (which I am pushing it a bit with it being a 1999 film lol) Also was thinking of Fred Durst maybe but would rather keep it a little more feminine leaning I reckon.

Let me know your thoughts, they'd be very much appreciated!!

first time making a spiked cuff :)) (read body text)

looks kinda choppy but i made it, so i like it! thankfully it’s comfortable to wear, it just doesn’t look very appealing 😖 advice to make next attempt look less ugly??

the cloth is a leftover piece from a neckline of a shirt that i chopped up yesterday. i superglued it to a hair tie i found on the street so it’d be easy to wear. round spikes made out of a soda i got for free last week. advice on how i can improve please!! (I can hand-sew if that helps)

i want to dress like murderdolls, that sleazy, horror punk style.

unfortunately i’m in a state where it’s constantly hot, so i don’t know how to go about this, nor where to find any clothing that fits this style that’s not super expensive.
i’m in love with the 80s-early 2000s style, the glam punk, all of that stuff, but i just don’t know where to look for these things.
i know layering accessories is also a big factour of this style, though

sneakers comfortable for long distances.

does anyone have any recs in regards to sneakers alternative enough but still comfortable for long walks? i’ve been wearing new balances for about two years now but they’re super worn out already as i pretty much always walk 14,000-22,000 steps a day. they’re pretty basic generally but still useful for those distances. now that i have a reason to replace them i’d like to look into any more punk looking alternatives, if there are any. thanks in advance🤙🏼.

Is it bad to thrift alt-INSPIRED clothes that were originally fast fashion?

I won't beat around the bush: I am in love with all forms of alternative fashion, art, music, and pretty much anything that isn't mainstream. However, I like to consider myself alt-INSPIRED as I do not listen to solely alt music and I do not soley wear alt clothes. The reason I say this is to give a bit of background on the actual topic of discussion: I found some listings on Depop that had off-brand Afflictions t-shirts. Now, I'd be more than happy to buy actual Afflictions shirts if I had the money; but alas I don't. I bought the shirts without a second thought and when they came, I realized they came from Shein. I understand that fast fashion is extremely frowned upon within the alt community, and I feel like a poser. Is it wrong to thrift, wear and/or own something that was originally fast fashion?

Also, I realize I am also at fault for not fully reading the listing or actually looking for tags in the pictures. But in my defense, I saw shirts i loved and were at low prices and immediately (kinds impulsively) bought them. I'd ask Google, but Google is vague and I'd rather get solid answers from people within the community im looking for answers from.

Thank you for your time and words!

(EDIT:) Thank you guys for the reassurance! So grateful to have found this subreddit!

How do I fix this bad bleach job?

I tried bleaching my converse and I meant to do more splotchy than this but I think I accidentally moved the bottle too much so it made larger clouds. What can I do to make it better?
