Masculine Makeup?
Hey all, I'm transmasc and I want to have fun with makeup in a way that doesn't make me dysphoric. I know about masculine contouring, but I'm looking for more gothy glam masc looks besides just guy liner. Any tips or places to look?
What should my next haircut be?
I made another post asking how i could look more androgynous as i start to build more of an alternative look!! Everyone told me to chop my hair! So i have a few options and would love to hear from everyone :D currently i have long hair and an undercut that isn’t very visible.
First few photos(1-3) are to keep my length but still have something fun!!
Photos (4-7) are going shorter!! With face framing and a little length in the back!
(8-9) is my hair rn and my undercut
I would love to hear everyones ideas!!
BAD HAIRCUT PLS HELP
Gave myself a bad (in my opinion) haircut that doesn’t go w my style. The top pieces are WAY too short and it’s not like the layered haircut I used to have (see pic 3). I usually do jfashion or goth and don’t like this shag type hair so I’m freaking out.
I was thinking of either dying it black or doing something like the last picture.
Please if you have any advice on how to fix this help!!!!
Should i dye my hair??
My hair is naturally a dark brown (that looks black) I use to dye my hair jet black but it’s faded a lot kinda want to go back to it like I want a black so dark it’s very fake looking if that makes sense???? Yes or no? I’m just like bored of my appearance I’ve gotten like five tattoos this year but I’m still bored. Usually I just bleach my hair but my hair is almost to my butt now so I don’t wanna bleach it I’m only asking this bc I feel like appearance wise my look is very boring ik like two years ago I’d put together cute fits and do crazy makeup but lately I just feel lame but yeah should I go darker yes or no??? Also do I look as boring as I feel??????
Underground Experience & Tips
I recently purchased two pairs of boots from them directly. It was quite the adventure.
Pictured are the Leather Cherry and Purple Rub Off.
I really want to make it a point to say they’re not scammers. They truly do provide the items you order. They’re not trying to bamboozle anyone.
The website is very much still 2001 and kinda wonky to browse. It can be a bit slow. It is mostly up to date inventory wise.
I ordered the burgundy and navy rub off boots initially. There were some issues that occurred:
I did not hear anything about a week. Customer service via the chat and email are very responsive overall when I inquired as to what was going on. After back and forth, I ended up with two totally different boots. They have several warehouses in different countries and some have customs issues. The warehouse in HK seems to be able to ship items without any issues. The boots I originally ordered were not in that warehouse, sadly.
It took a month to get both boots and I had to prod them about updates a couple of times. While their CS are friendly and helpful, they didn’t always email with updates. But when I did prod, they were detailed.
Their website can not be fully up to date. I was offered at first the purple rub off instead of the navy but on the site it showed they weren’t in my size. They did in fact have them, though. Not sure why that wasn’t reflected when trying to initially order.
There’s no warning on the website if the shoes you’re ordering can be delayed or unable to ship to your country due to customs issues.
Shipping is odd. You’ll initially get an email stating they shipped but they don’t provide a tracking then. It’s a separate email. I just ended up prodding CS to get the tracking numbers. If you have a UPS account, you’ll see it as an incoming package, which is helpful.
Overall their CS is good and the fact they were detailed and quick to respond assured me that I would be getting something 😹
Their grammar is a bit off, almost like broken English. They would use UK phrases so I don’t know. And the grammar on the website can be a bit odd so it kinda matched up. I have no idea where their online CS is really based but they did have the England phone numbers listed in their email signatures.
Shipping moved without issue. I’m in the US. Their HK warehouse seems to be the main international one. If items can be readily shipped, they are quickly and move through customs very smoothly.
The navy pair, after some prodding, were unable to be shipped. Instead of canceling like I first wanted, I asked if I could sub them out. I was given a URL list of boots that could be shipped immediately. They switched the items and all went very well after. So it’s very easy for them to just sub out items if needed. The boots were very very similar in price as well.
As for the boots themselves:
They’re very high quality. They came flawless! I wouldn’t say they’re super duper thick leather but they are crafted very well. It’s a stiffer leather for both. It’s obvious that time was taken to make these. They aren’t floppy or droopy at all. The red is similar-ish to a smooth leather style from dr. Martens. But they’re not plastic coated like that style, just very polished and smooth. The purple are amazing. They’re also very very similar to dr. Martens rub off boots. They have that plastic type shiny coating.
I’m a UK 5, which is a US 7. I’d say the boots are pretty true to size. On the website it does recommend to size down but I didn’t. I have more narrow feet but longer toes so I didn’t want them to be too short. No complaints! They feel good and you could wear thicker socks without and issues.
Tips:
If you’re in the US especially, email them to ask what’s available to be shipped now. Just give them your size and they’d send you your options. That way you don’t have to go through what I did.
Keep on top of CS. I didn’t always have to nudge them but it does help to email them if you haven’t heard anything for a few days.
Be kind. They’re not trying to be difficult. They do want you to get what you paid for.
I didn’t have to pay any extra duties as everything is included in the price of stuff, as noted on the site. No signature was required either for delivery.
These shoes are super expensive but you do get what you pay for. I like how the soles are screwed in and they seem to wear well. I got a very old pair second hand and noticed how you couldn’t tell it was 30 years old. They weren’t in new condition but they in no way looked like they were run over by six semi trucks. That’s what sparked me to buy some new styles.
I can’t speak to the custom process is. I saw from other posts how they take several months. I’m not surprised since getting already made boots took a month.
I would buy from them again. It wasn’t an easy process but now I know how to streamline it.
I haven’t really seen too much about ordering from them, other than complaints. So I really wanted to try to help anyone curious about them. I hope this reassures someone that they’re safe and gives them a guide!
The top is a problem
I’m not entirely sure what to do with the shirt. Whenever I paired it with fishnets it looked a bit weird. I’ve only got white, brown, and black boots. And my colorful jewelry is limited. I usually go for darker colors so this is a lil out of my comfort zone. Anyone got any ideas to make this look better?
Is it ok to slowly go back to alt-style at my age? (32)
What should I do with my hair?
I look really boring in these pics, but I’m looking for advice.
I really want to try something new with my hair. It’s straight, flat and brown and I feel like it’s very boring.
I wanna go for a doll like look. I’ve recently gotten bangs and I like them.
How can I look more doll like with my hair? I thought about dyeing my hair or having a haircut, but I have no idea. I’m looking for color and cut suggestions that would suit my features!
Also, what are the ways to achieve that doll like look? What styles, aesthetics should I look into?
Ways to style my hair?
The two bright ones are my current hair (I know the colors look different cause the lighting but it’s the same 😭) I always wear it just plain down like the last picture, but I want to try and do more actual hairstyles where I do something with it. Any recommendations for ways to style long hair alt? Also I know I need a haircut but I’m broke
At the moment, I feel I'm just wearing the fit.
How can I truly FEEL alt in the outfit? Is it the jewellery, the quality of the materials, or just a mindset issue?
Also, it's hard dressing up alt in my country as a male. That's an added struggle.
Where to find dresses like this? (I'm male, 6'2, 175lbs)
thrift flip help!!
guys what can i make from this clockhouse shirt? i thrifted it just now because of its fabric and print but i don't really like the sleeves. should i just shorten them like on the first picture, cut the sleeves off and make a tank top from it or any other ideas? i also thought about making a milkmaid top or halter top from it but wanna hear your opinion.
What color eyeshadows would suit me?
This is my usual makeup, super neutral color palette and mostly black obvi…but if i did like a red smokey eye or something would that look okay or too overpowering?
i accidentally bleached my black poloshirt and tried to fix it. did i save it or ruined everything?
made it on sweatshirt also
my second attempt after fixing that accidental bleach. i tried it also on a thrifted sweatshirt. it's dark blue btw looks black on pic. what do u guys think? tbh i messed up a bit on the front design haha idk how to fix it rn
What should I keep? P2
I had a part 1 where I was wondering what dresses to keep. This is part 2. Ideally, I would like to keep one of each design (there are 3) but if it doesn't suit me, I wouldn't wanna keep it either. The last white one also comes in black and orange/red, so I might consider exchanging it if white isn't for me. Any advice would be appreciated!

How to look femenine as an alt trans girl
So much of the classic alt subculture's fashion I see online is very gender neutral. I love that for them but, if I wear gender neutral clothing, I'll just look like a guy. Physically, I am EXTREMELY masculine. Working on this but, short term, how can I indicate I am a woman in these spaces?
Being alt around judgment people
Hello everyone! Ill try to keep this brief
So, im a 22 yr old dude and I'm a 3rd year uni study, currently studying dentistry. Ive been dipping my toes in more alternative fashion lately, or, better yet, ive always been someone who dressed in a fairly eccentric way but ive been lookin into more "consistent" styles with musical sub cultures attached. So far, ive been havin a great time figuring out what to wear and finding new music. However, something has been weighing me down substantially: my peers. Look, i really dont wanna judge any of em, but whenever i come to class wearing something "unusual" (basically anything that isnt jeans + a tshirt) theyre so quick to judge, snickering behind me and even giving me sarcastic compliments ("wow, that tie sure is a choice!" Or "well you're brave for wearing that", along those lines yknow), none of em have been outright hostile of violent but i can reaaaally feel they think im weird and lame. I would love to experiment more but these attitudes and comments sorta bring me down. None of the fits ive been wearing are even as alt as id like em to be...
Tl;dr -> how do you guys keep your alt spirits high when the people who surround you dont exactly think youre cool?
