Hi, I had Septorhinoplasty 90 days ago and becauseI dont breathe too well from one of the nostrils I developed severe anxiety and panic attacks and don't go out.
I spoke for the first time in my life to a doctor (psychiatrist) and he prescribed me the following
Serolux Sandoz Tab 50mg (Sertraline)
Phase 1 (Day1-10)
Dose: 1/3 tablet
Phase 2 (Day 11-17)
Dose: 1/2 tablet
Phase 3: (Day 18 and onward)
Dose: 1 tablet
Short term support Xanax 0.25mg
Day 1-5: 0.25mg 4 times per day
Day 6-10: 0.25mg 3 times per day
Dat 11-15: 0.25mg 2 times per dar
Dat 16-18: 0.25mg 1 time per day
From day 19: DISCONTINUED

Hello everyone, I had Septorhinoplasty and from day 1 my right wall was touching the septum. It did open a bit but I still have limited breathing which contributed to extreme anxiety as I feel that I don't breathe well.
The doctor said I have a lot of swelling and it will open in the next weeks. I don't know if I should believe that or i have valve issue. As you can see the septum and the valve are so close together and my nostril also looks different from the table photos
Do you think this is swelling on the septum and my nostrils will get more open? As from the right one I can't breathe too well and it causes me anxiety

Im at the start of month 3 and my breathing is still miserable due the swelling which led me to have massive anxiety and panic attacks and I don't go out because I am swelling even more in the heat.
Did anyone have all of these? Is there hope for me
I was researching now about my symptoms and came across MCAS. What is MCAS? Is there cure for my sensitivity of fragrance/detergent/flowers literally everything?
Did someone else had this?
I live in Greece where is obviously very hot and humid and I cant have a normal life because the heat is killing me.

Hi everyone im on the start of the 3rd month post op Septorhinoplasty. I had my deviated septum fixed along with cauterization of inferior turbines.
My endoscope is great but I feel blocked and I feel like there is not enough space for the air to come in.
The doctor says the final breathing can be judged from month 4-6. I am already struggling and I don't know if this will be the rest of my life?
I dont go out or have any social life because this affects me so much.
Also im in a country with a very hot weather
When did you get comfortable breathing after Septorhinoplasty? Im starting month 3 on Monday and Im still mouth breathing and having a hard time and my anxiety is kicking in and Im regretting this.
My surgeon said it will take 4-6 months for the final breathing. Am I gonna suffer like this forever
Im end of week 8 post Septorhinoplasty and since week 6 I have dry throat and dry nose and once Im sleeping I'm waking up with racing heart and extra dry throat. This is causing me anxiety and Im feeling unwell.
I need to mention that Im also in Europe and the weather is hot.
Why is this happening? When dry throat and dry nose will stop and I will feel better.

While im still actively heeling, last night I was breathing a bit and suddenly started feeling like too much air from my right nostril comes in and too cold on my throat and started hyperventilating and got so scared and ended up in a hospital to check.
The doctor that took a look at me with endoscope said the surgery looks perfect and he sees the turbines. Its just that side was deviated and now the brain needs to adjust the new pattern and getting more air.
In 2-3 weeks he said it should be better
Did someone go through this? Will it get better. Am I gonna breathe normal? I feel stuck and like im crazy

My doctor tells me to trust the process and apparently this is swelling?
Im from another city so I will see him end of June, but meanwhile I would like to ask here too
Why are my side walls too swollen and I almost have any passages for air to go?

My doctor said no alcohol for 2 months, but I am even scared to think of drinking even a glass of wine as I think I will be a swollen potato after.
