First of all, this is coming from someone who believes Akainu & Kuzan have ACoC.

Since Akainu gave Luffy his big scar, they are pretty much destined to encounter.

I used to think that Akainu will push full power Luffy to high diff.

But now I think Gear 5 will be reserved for Imu in the final war, as using full power against 2 villains is not a good portrayal for the stronger one. Especially when one is bound to be WAY stronger than the other. Akainu will probably fight a non Gear 5 Luffy (potentially injured or exhausted or base Luffy)

Or maybe he will fight DR Akainu. Because there's this theory that we'll see Akainu finally break in the final war (like we've seen Kizaru & Kuzan cry in Egghead & Hachinosu respectively) when he realizes his version of justice is just an illusion.

Or maybe Sabo will be the one to finish Akainu (after Luffy fights him for some time but has to hurry to Imu) [Please don't kill me for saying this. I'm just listing the possibilities]

There are just a lot of possibilities and factors which can influence this future encounter and maybe fans should not put too much faith in their expectations.

Taking an attack to the face without taking any visible damage? Taking damage but brushing it off? Taking damage but not losing all momentum?

And just to clarify, admiral bros, I'm NOT comparing Akainu and King here 😭
