Been a part of my band for over five years. We played countless festivals, big venues, shitty dive bars, etc. Even dropped an LP and four singles along with multiple music videos throughout the years. With all the achievements, I just never really felt satisfied with the music we played, and more importantly, I never really felt like I meshed well with the other's personalities (they are all 10+ years older than me). After a long time of rolling with the punches, I've decided to announce my exit closer to the end of the year when gigs slow down. I can't tell you how relieving it feels knowing I won't be bound to a project I've grown to dislike.

Has anyone else felt a great sense of relief after ditching a project? How did you do it, and was it the best decision you made for your music career, or do you regret it?

My gf’s brother is 35-year old entrepreneur who travels the world alone with no girlfriends or kids. He originally came to the US to visit and to stay with us “for a couple weeks”. It has now been over a month, and I’m starting to lose my mind.

It’s not necessarily the small habits that are killing me, it’s the fact that I now have another roommate that I did not wish to have. And after a small conversation yesterday, he may be here “a couple more weeks”.

I’ve expressed how I’m feeling to my gf, and she basically shrugged me off saying “This is my brother. He doesn’t have anywhere to stay”, when, in fact, he has his mom and stepdad who live a cozy life in Brazil where he FREQUENTLY stays when he’s not traveling.

Am I overreacting? I just want peace and quiet and to not have to share my home anymore than I already have. These “two more weeks” could turn into another whole month. I’m not really sure what to do, but I am beyond stressed.
