What is the impact of positive feedback on FAs?

I am a huge believer in giving feedback - ESPECIALLY positive. Over my past few flights, there were some FAs that really did an excellent job and had a great attitude. For these FAs, I asked them their name, and I submitted a compliment on united customer care (I also let them know in person that I really appreciated their attitude).

  1. Does this positive feedback actually get to them? Does their supervisor actually find out and reward or recognize them somehow? Does it impact their career in a positive way?

  2. I submit through the customer care, but I also submit complaints there as well when they're warranted (lot more compliments than complaints). Am I at risk of getting flagged or something for submitting too much on there (even though it's mostly positive)?

  3. Is there anything else I can be doing (that is free) to help recognize flight attendants who take pride in and do a great job? Is my united status relevant?

Please help - question regarding business profile rides

Good morning! TIA for the help

I use lyft business through work. I have been getting the correct amount of Lyft rewards for months now. However, on August 16th, I cancelled a ride. I was charged $30 for it, but my flight got cancelled so it is what it is.

Since then, 18 out of 19 rides have not gotten any lyft cash back rewards, even though I have been using the business profile. And on the ride history, it's showing that it cost $0. One of them randomly worked for some reason. I don't know why. On the ride receipt I see the amount of lyft cash rewards I SHOULD have gotten, but it's not actually added to my account.

I have been trying to get it solved from Lyft support, but they keep telling me everything looks like it's correct on their end, no matter what proof I show them.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Do I need to unlink and relink my business profile or something? If I do that, will I lose the rewards cash that has accrued on my account? Anything else you'd suggest trying, or anyone else I can reach out to? It's around $200 of rewards cash I'm missing out on, so it's quite a bit.

Any way to force an uber black SUV

Hello! I wanted to ask - I'm in north wisconsin (appleton ish) and I wanted to take a black SUV to milwaukee. I can take one from milwaukee to appleton just fine, and when I ask my drivers they tell me they're more than willing to make the drive the other way (leave from milwaukee, pick me up, drive back down to milwaukee) but I can't figure out how to schedule the ride.

I have to do it through Lyft

Is there a way to do it that like i start the ride in the app at the mke airport, add a stop to my actual pickup location in appleton (this is where I would physically get into the car), and then the driver drives me to milwaukee?

or is there any other way to do it? any advice would be appreciated. thank you!

I want to learn/get help - Made ambassador for the first time!

Top down - please teach me the best ways to leverage ambassador status, and any great/interesting experiences you’ve had with your ambassador - I’d love to hear your stories!

Got a new job that has me travelling all the time (I’ve never had any status before). I finally got ambassador status (trying to get the $40k spend, but it could be tough with my current travel plans).

I reached out to the ambassador assigned to me to introduce myself and ask her what things she’d be able to help me with and ask if there’s any interesting stories of ways she’s helped others.

Do y’all have any tips/best practices for leveraging my ambassador the best possible way (appropriately of course)

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!

Note - I spent about 580k points for a 5 night stay at the st Regis Bali for me and my wife’s honeymoon in December (it said ineligible for using upgrade awards), and I purchased with money for the week previous at Singapore Westin and was able to use upgrade awards for it, both of these things were when I had titanium status

QQ about titanium status United silver benefit

Hi yall! Thanks in advance for your insight. I just got titanium status but I fly so much for work I already have high tier united status. Is there any way for me to give this silver United status to my wife instead of me? Or set it up that she gets it? Maybe unlink my United account from Marriott and link hers to my bonvoy? Has anyone been able to figure out how to do it?

Best balance of changing award fare vs booking now

Hi everyone! TIA for the advice

I currently have approx 400k marriott points - been saving up since last december for our honeymoon at the end of the year.

I'm currently platinum status, but will likely be ambassador by the end of july.

Our plan is to stay at the singapore jw marriott dec 21-26 and then st regis bali dec 26-dec 31.

I am willing to pay the cash to book the JW in singapore, but the st regis in bali is too expensive. I SHOULD have enough points for BOTH by the time our travel comes

Below is my tentative plan. My concern is that I don't want to pay any kind of fee for refund of points or cash.

Should I book the JW marriott now, with cash, and then in 2 months when I have enough points for bali, book that with points, then once i accrue enough points for jw in singapore, cancel my reservation then book that with points?

When is generally the lowest cost cash or points rates?

Up until how late can i cancel my booking and get EVERYTHING back?

I just really want to treat my wife to an awesome honeymoon, so any and all advice is appreciated!!! Thank you!

Status optimization for united

EDIT - thank you for your insight everyone! I think the convenience factor, and the enhanced miles earnings, and the plus points, are all factors that convinced me to just stick to united. You're right, I should just enjoy the 1k benefits, instead of collecting status like video game achievements haha

Hi everyone! TY in advance for your insights. I'm going to be 1k in a few weeks (work travel), but I don't think I'll ever have the $70k in spend (or whatever) that is required for GS status. Is there any point to continuing to be loyal to united after hitting 1k besides progress towards million miler? Should i switch to delta and try to get status on there too? I take typically 2 flights a week, within the US.

My home base airport is EWR. I suppose if i started flying delta then I'd have to do layovers (which isn't fun)

I would still go back to united 2027 to get status again until at least 1k.
