John and Dexter wouldn't work together

I'm making this because I've seen far too many people comparing these two and saying that they would leave each other alone because of their codes, but that is untrue, and if you believe that, please continue reading, but if you are one of the ones who know they wouldn't work, you can continue reading if you would like to.

Now, everytime I hear someone's side to why these two would leave each other alone (or even work together) is because their code is simular, and that's relatively true, but when you get into how they choose their victims and how they 'get rid' of them, it's rather different

John's code: Get someone who doesn't appreciate life, and place them into a trap that possible to escape

Dexter's code: Get criminals (preferably murderers) and tie them to a table so they can't escape, then drive a knife into them

In both respected franchises, it's either explicitly said or implied that the reason they have these codes is so that they feel like they're right in what they're doing, John's is how he kills them, so no matter who he puts into a trap, they always have an out, and with Dexter, he targets murderers and other high level criminals.

It's because of these differences in these codes is what makes them unable to leave each other alone, as in John's eyes, Dexter just kills the people, without giving them a chance at redemption, and in Dexter's eyes, John just puts people who are depressed into the traps (think S.A.M Jeff, a grieving farther who lost his son) and also the fact that John's requirements to survive is either brutally disable yourself, and/or kill someone else

So if John and Dexter existed in the same universe, John would put Dexter into a trap for killing people with no way out. And Dexter would put John on a table for putting regular people into traps to cause harm just because "They didn't appreciate life"
