"At 25, your frontal lobe is developed and your brain is done cooking"

Literally makes me want to rip my hair out. People use this as a way to justify any stupid behavior committed before you turn 25, and not only that, people think you suddenly turn into a wise sensei at 25 and you just wake up one day and everything feels different.

People need to realize the brain is constantly changing, and people need to stop throwing this myth around as a fact. It leads to infantilization

When someone is telling you a story, you ask a question for clarification, then they say "You're not listening to me"

Okay maybe I will just next time nod and smile instead of trying to engage in your story

Anyone else make a big change to their diet but no results?

A bit bummed out
I've been really trying to curb my diet and I think I made a genuine attempt by really upping my fiber and really lowering my red meat and dairy consumption.

My LDL did not change at all from my last test (161 vs 158)
Everything else in my blood test came back normal (other than vitamin D deficiency but that's more minor)
Only 27 and I am starting to question if it's hyper familial

The doctor gave me the option to continue diet & exercise or to start statins

I really don't want to start statins at this age but has anyone had success outside of statins?
I am also slightly overweight and can lose 10 lbs to be in good shape

If statins are necessary it is what it is, I just don't want to go on one for life

Everyone's talking about Molly tea, but has anyone had this experience with TeaPulse?

It seems over half the time I order from TeaPulse I tend to get jittery/heart flutter?

It's because of this that I have been drinking it a lot less. The taste is some of the best in the area, but this is a massive setback for me

Not sure if I'm caffeine sensitive or not. I don't drink coffee and drink tea every other day.

Just was curious if anyone else had this experience. To me, the tea isn't even that strong in flavor to be that high in caffeine

"You have already claimed benefits for this week." Yet I haven't. Is this normal?

Filed for unemployment June 1st. I've been claiming every week unemployment. Still haven't been officially approved, but I try to file every week.

When I tried filing with week I was hit with: "You have already claimed benefits for this week."

Should I be concerned or disregard it? Because I know for sure I did not claim benefits this week.

Why is the lease for Nissans so cheap right now? There must be a catch

Saw a deal for an Altima for $150/mo with $2k due at signing.

Truly there has to be some kind of catch

What is one property that you think is quite unique in the US and why?

Always like to stay at unusual hotels, such as Fairfield inn in Pensacola that has a lazy river, or the Ritz in Naples that has a golf course as well as a shuttle to another Ritz' property to use their beach
