There's a lot of negative commentary about status and upgrades. I fly out of SEA and generally have great luck with upgrades, but I get that isn't universal.

A few weeks ago I waited 45 minutes with my partner to get into the Centurion when flying Alaska. Was fine. If I'd know it would have been that long, I'd have bought the Alaska day pass. So I canceled my platinum card right after that. I don't do the coupon book thing.

Anyway. Leaving SFO today the sky lounge line was long. Diamond made the wait 2 minutes. Value.

As useless as diamond is in a general sense sometimes, no regrets just ditching AmEx.

So she's an oil painter in the North West. Never shot a gun before.

We go to the range and she's starting to shot and I'm trying to spot and help her out, but for the life of me I can't see where she's missing. I'm trying to get her to be slow and calm down I'm mansplaining everything. She shoots and I just can't see anything on the paper. I can't see dirt splashes, nothing! I have a 13oz trigger on a big 6.5 it's a little bit of a lot so I was thinking she's just sending them somewhere...yikes.

She gets through her five rounds and we walk up. Ever single one was in the black. She was shooting sub 1 moa. 😂. I felt like the biggest asshole. Only defense I have is the range spotting scope is a potato and she was taking 2-3 minutes to shoot at 100, but still!

Side point, is it possible that people that have trained for years and years to have incredibly fine motor control might transfer to trigger control? She wants to go back and try longer range.

Sniper schools might need to start recruiting from RISD.

I was given a 3 year wait for a Turbo S slot + PTS with a $20k ADM, I was fine with that. Got an offer for an October delivery, no PTS, but much sooner. They still want the $20k ADM. Should I just suck it up and pay it or negotiate...or wait 3 years for PTS.

Or get this and then get back in line for a new new one in 4 years with PTS 😂

I can't be assed to make sure I'm doing an these random things every month or quarter to get value. I honestly got have this card 11 years ago for the lounge stuff. It was very nice and special at the time.

It's the absolute WORST now. There's always a wait and when you get in it's packed to the gills. And the offerings are meh.

In SEA even the old Delta lounge is better. The new one is much much better. Seems like a useless card. There's a 0% chance I can get to black in Seattle even with mid-6 spend. Just. Meh.

Nothing new, I used to love this cars. Just seems useless now.
