My solution to potions taking up all your inventory slots during PvP

Potions are one of the biggest culprits when it comes to hogging inventory space, especially on modern SMPs where fights can last upwards of 30+ mins.

Most players solve this with a potion shulker box but that has several downsides such as needing to stand defenseless while you resupply and risking your enemies stealing potions or even your entire box.

My solution was this build. It uses a budded piston to trigger a Redstone clock and dispense potions rapidly. It can be triggered with any sort of block update and is cheap enough to scatter them everywhere.

You can also rig a piece of TNT on the other side of the clock to make the mechanism self destruct after use.

Using nether portals to actually teleport!

Nether portal linking can be one of the most frustrating mechanics in Minecraft, there's dozens of guides on how to avoid it but almost no info on using it to your advantage.

So I made this build to show people the power of portal linking!

By breaking the portal right after going through it you're able to redirect yourself to another portal within 1024 blocks. The result is a fantastic short range teleporter that doesn't require constantly refilling enderpearls and is accessible to other players without setup.

This is a simple design that relies on a timer and only supports 2 portals, but that makes it very cheap and compact. Using a timer also insures a speedy and adjustable reset time.

For such a simple concept it really has some crazy potential applications, even just being able to teleport mobs and items is a game changer. You can also have multiple destinations as long as you have a way to send a signal to the destination.

I'm really excited to see what people use this concept for, personally I'm going to build a portal connecting my base to the trial chamber that I'm currently turning into a underground city.

New grief method!

I don't play on DonutSMP but I've been seeing all the flooder/drainer army posts and thought I would add some fuel to the fire.

So here's a cheap and easy method to make hundreds of portal frames, which is a much harder to undo grief than any others I've seen.

Feel free to use it for whatever nefarious means you can imagine. My one request is that you tag me if you post with it so I can enjoy the chaos as well.

Is the teaching good on Wes Iseli's flip?

I'm still new to magic but I saw his fool us performance and thought it was great. I was able to figure out the method just by watching and with a couple days of practice I can get it right about 80% of the time.

So my question is does Wes cover any useful ways to improve consistency or is it just a practice thing? I've seen mixed things about the usefulness of the teaching. With some people saying its their go to trick/method and others saying it doesn't cover anything you couldn't figure out just by watching.

TLDR: I already know the method I'm just wondering if he covers any useful tips on improving consistency/speed.

I hit a clip but wasn't recording, luckily the guy I killed was! So here's his POV

This guy was stomping most of the lobby and I only have about 20 hours in game so I was hyped to get this kill. (I'm the one with the battle axe if it isn't obvious)

I realized I wasn't recording afterwards but I remembered the TTV in his username and looked him up after the match.

Full clip credit goes to Dreklo on twitch, go check him out he's cracked at chiv.

Mace PvP isn't real! Part 2

Also cause some of you didn't read the last post I'm not saying maces aren't viable I'm just saying to your average player they're a detriment over just using sword.

This is a HT5 player so pretty average for a PvPer and still probably better than 95℅ of all Minecrafters considering most people don't practice PvP. I was able to easily sidestep almost every mace attack despite this guy clearly being a way better PvPer, he started absolutely cooking me the second he switched to his sword.

Mace PvP isn't real!

I've only ever played 1.8 PvP and sucked at that but wanted to learn modern PvP, while doing so I quickly learned 3 things

  1. I suck at mace PvP

  2. So does everyone else

  3. People REALLY don't like when you don't use your mace in mace PvP

The main issue with using the mace is all of its attacks are insanely telegraphed and all it takes is sidestepping at the last moment to make them whiff

A lot of the time people would just refuse to switch to their sword and instead do some elaborate bullshit that just ends with them faceplanting 5 times in a row while I got free hits. (One guy even popped his totem with with just fall damage)

I had moments that were just 30 seconds straight of someone wind charging up only for me to walk directly under them for the 10th time in a row.

Even when someone does land a hit you can just pearl away before they even reach the peak of their next windcharge

Im sure some people can use maces effectively but I played for 4 hours and only died 2 or 3 times to a mace and way more to swords.

I'd imagine all it takes is someone who's not terrible at PvP and some dripstone to make this a weirdly effective tactic

I might make a montage or something of the mace just being a really unthreatening weapon

Redstone bundle challenge!

With inventory space being at a premium in early game Minecraft and many servers restricting The End, I would like to give a challenge to the community... Redstone builds that fit inside a single bundle!

Rules for the challenge:

  1. All resources must fit inside a single bundle.

  1. Crafting is ONLY allowed for nonstackable items, but you must include a crafting table in the bundle

  1. Buckets and leads can only be used once (infinite water is alright)

  1. No dupes

  1. All builds must be possible in survival with unenchanted diamond tools (any non diamond tools like shears must be crafted).

  1. You can use up to 64 scaffolding/dirt blocks to build but the blocks cannot be part of the final build.

  1. Build can be at any location in the overworld or nether, if built on the nether roof you must include stuff to get there

  1. Builds must take less than 15 mins

  1. No End exclusive items

The goal behind this challenge is to make a collection of small easy to remember builds, that you can keep in your E-Chest and pull out at your convenience to scatter around your world.

Personally I've been working on a couple trap bundles and a machine that let's you detect if someone was near your base while you were offline (I'll probably post these soon).

I'm excited to see what people come up with. If there's enough submissions I'll make a compilation post or something.

Heres my attempt at a tamper resistant landmine with a dead-man switch. Can you disarm it?

Hey everyone, this was just a quick build I threw together today. Its a dead-man switch landmine that I built to be as tamper resistant as possible without being huge.

The idea behind this is to trap one person on the pressure plate to act as bait, to lure in either their teammates or an enemy. 2 for 1 deal!

It explodes if you mine any part of it and is made out of furnaces so you can't disassemble it with pistons. The explosion is almost instant and the circuit has redundancies to prevent smashing it from below. The inside is also filled in a way to prevent chorus fruit TPs.

The build also works with a spacing layer of blocks between the furnaces and pressure plate, so all you need to hide is the pressure plate.

If there's a non explosive way to disarm this thing I haven't found it yet

You can Indiana Jones it with an armor stand but that doesn't disarm the explosive it just let's you walk away (it's also easy to prevent)

There's probably an easy way to disarm this thing that I'm missing so I'll attach the world file and y'all can take a crack at it.

Also I have a YouTube channel now! If you like this build or any of my others please consider subscribing for more Minecraft Redstone/war crimes

New player here, how could I have won this 1v3?

The obvious answer is to not take a 1v3 but I was pushed up against the respawn barrier and between waves. You can see me start pushing back when i notice the next wave but its too late by then

I only have about 10 hours in game rn so I'm not confident enough to parry in 1vX scenarios and was trying to conserve stamina by using spacing/other dodges

I def overcommitted on the sword guy but if my kick had connected I think the next hit would have dropped him

Any feedback would be appreciated, I love this game so far but getting ganked is never fun in any game

Pocket missile + Eagle rocket pods = perfect combo!

Since discovering this combo it hasnt left my loadout. Its like they were designed to be used together, you even get 4 charges of each (with ship module). using one of each will drop anything smaller than a bile titan, and the titans themselves only take an extra missile.

You get to keep your backpack and support slots available with double the ammo and way more range than an ultimatum, and almost zero teamkill risk!

I don't have clips of using it on other fronts but it works just as well, eagle rocket pods are pretty infamous for leaving enemies with a sliver of health and the pissile is perfect for dealing that last hit.

TLDR: use this combo to oneshot anything smaller than a bile titan at 100m with no aim, no TK risk and 4 charges.

▲ 4.1k r/CreateMod

This is literally just a CBC cannon floating in the sky with an autoloader and propellers to aim it.

I'm currently working on a 4 barrel version but there's a glitch with aeronautics that stops mechanical arms from working correctly sometimes, so I only have 3 barrels working until it gets patched

This is just a quick proof of concept for a way to launch players in survival mode using sulfur cubes. It uses waterlogged ladders to bypass the entity cram limit.

The build also uses the same flint and steel i-frame trick speed runners have been using for years to avoid the massive explosion damage.

Its worth mentioning that putting blocks above the players head will make them go straight forward, if combined with an elytra you can travel absurd distances

You can also make some batshit crazy TNT cannons, I'll probably be posting some of those as well
