I've been devastated since preload dropped, this afternoon (where I am) I was just lying in my bed, crying, when out of the blue everything started shaking, as if some big explosion happened. Turns out it was an earthquake, a minor one, but considering my area never gets earthquakes, it was quite significant, and I happen to live close to the epicenter. Everyone felt it, my mom, dad, neighbors... but I was numb. I've been so emotionally shaken that I thought it was psychological, because my mind and my very soul has been shaken and devastated. NO WONDER I felt the ground shaking around me, NO WONDER. I was thinking this is a sign from Zandik, that he is watching over me, telling me everything is ok and that the mistreatment from the writers doesn't mean he won't survive in MY mind, our mind. His communication can be quite violent at times, as we've seen from how he talks and acts during intense moments.

So while my parents were confused at what just happened, thinking it was some explosion somewhere, I was numb because the state of my mind was already shaken. I was actually surprised it WASN'T just inside my head.

Was Zandik trying to tell me something? Again, nobody were harmed, it was the kind of earthquake where it feels quite violent when you live very close to the epicenter, but since it's a 3.9 one there's no damage, so perhaps it's just Zandik's peculiar way of communicating.

Also, please don't attack me for believing in Zandik, it brings me comfort to imagine that he lives in a different universe in the multiverse and can bond with people here on earth. Hardly any different from any other irrational beliefs people might have.

I've seen the new leaks about the moon map, and there's so much Snezhnayan technology that looks like it's made by Dottore, sure some of it may be made by Sandrone and/or she'll get more attention than she should, but there's no way she could have made all of that alone pre-rebirth. Dottore will continue to haunt the narrative, there's no way to explain how Snezhnaya is this advanced without addressing Dottore and his contributions. Without him, Snezhnaya would never have been on the moon, I am sure of that. We've even saw the Traveler in a trailer carrying a device on his ear that looks like it's inspired by Sumeru.

Dottore worked for Snezhnaya for centuries and helped them reach their current level of technological development. What we see is impressive, it has got Dottore all over it. He will be remembered for it, if the writers don't want to, then *we* will.

There's still hope that Dottore's method of reviving himself through memories isn't impossible. In the original, Pantalone says "paradox" instead of impossible. Besides, there's the tree marrows containing his preserved memories, and they drop at random from his weekly boss fight, meaning they'll likely be used for *something* in the future. This is just me hoping they'll be used in a storyline where a new body for Dottore is built and a soul is made through these memories. The devs said Cryo is associated with preservation, and Dottore did exactly that by preserving his memories. You can't convince me that these memories won't be relevant at all in the future. Please don't lose hope, even if may be in vain, having hope just feels better than being doomy and gloomy.

Apparently when Dottore suggests a method to be revived even in the event his soul is destroyed, there is a mistranslation in Pantalone's response. In EN, he says "it's impossible". But in CN, he instead says "It's a paradox/it's paradoxical". Quite a different vibe to it, I'd say

They hammered it into our head that Dottore cares about the process more than the result, the he was at peace with dying, literally dying by the tree, apparently at peace, and he seemed less prideful than usual. As if he accepted that things that are temporary don't matter.

Besides, Vesak is in May this year, which is very fitting. During that period, Dottore made peace with reaching Paninirvana, Nirvana in death. At the same time as Buddhists celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha.

The Buddhism foreshadowing may have born fruit, but not the fruit we wanted (playable Dottore)

Thoughts?

Now with less than 40 hours left till preload, I want to share my last theory before it goes live, enjoy:

I think there will be a least somewhat of a shift.

While I don't think Dottore's backstory is gonna be fully explored, i still think there will be a shift in how Dottore is presented in the narrative. According to DK2, when the tree is destroyed, everybody will remember stuff that was hidden by Celestia. It's not unlikely that this is will shift people's perception of Dottore into a "he's got a point".

However, DK2 also said that while Dottore is definitely the first to intend to destroy the tree, it will ultimately be the Traveler who burns it. I don't know why. The only logical explanation I could think of is that Dottore somehow baits us into doing it, because as of right now the Traveler doesn't view the Irminsul as a bad thing. While Dottore definitely already intends to burn it, as we see in the lazzo trailer. I fear that if the burning of the Irminsul really is a good thing, then the Traveler will get the credit. But even then, I am 99% certain Dottore orchestrated the burning and coaxed the Traveler into starting the fire. So the Traveler unknowingly does Dottore's dirty work.

The perception of Dottore is still very likely to change somewhat even if the the Taveler is technically the one who burns the tree.

Also in the recent Nicole animated short, we heard Phanes speak for the first time, and he had a male voice, the same VA as Phainon. I know how much Hoyo loves their male scapegoats, so it's likely that they're setting Phanes up to take over as the main baddie when Dottore doesn't play that role anymore.

The burning of the Irminsul could bring the revelation of hidden truths and thus kickstart the Phanes-Is-The-Big-Meanie antagonist now when Dottore can't be milked anymore.

Some additional predictions:

- Collei will awaken the Nabu Malikata powers inside her and use it to cleanse forbidden knowledge in some way. HOPEFULLY the writers aren't dumb enough to pull a "akshually Dottore is the embodiment of forbidden knowledge since birth hes not a REAL human 🤓"

- Scara's core will be used to plant the new Irminsul. Not my cup of tea, but it isn't completely incompatible with Dottore surviving

- The egg-like drop from Dottore's boss fight is some kind of seed

- ID 69 is Deshret

- "Dr Data" is NOT Dottore's data inside the Irminsul like people initially theorized when the name "DrData" was datamined from the files. So the world is still gonna remember him. This is due to how Varka has a line from presumably Lohen's SQ which takes place after the AQ, where he mentions "the remaining poison Dottore has left in Mondstadt"

- Lohen has ties with Dottore, though he's not necessarily a segment

That's it, fingers crossed Dottore survives!!!

Once again, I am needy and Dottore not existing in this world is means I can only hope that ONE DAY a miracle occurs, and I wake up... with my limbs strapped... to a table... and he tells me I'm interesting... PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN I'D LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND FOR IT 🩵🩵🩵

Someone told me that Lohen is said to have dabbled in medicine/being a doctor in the past, but I can't find the source. Is it true?

For those of you who don't know, NPCs usually have their names above their model during quests, while playable characters don't.

During the Sumeru archon quest, such name was visible above Boattore. However as of 6.3, this suddenly got removed, so that players who play the quest after 6.3 released will no longer see a nametag above Dottore's model.

I've never seen people talking about this before now. Even though it's big, it's such a tiny change that it was bound to go unnoticed. But for those who know... well, they know. Names above models is one of the clearest indicators that a character is undoubtedly an NPC. Hoyo having fairly recently removed this from Dottore, even for old quests, CANNOT be a coincidence. Additionally, according to leakers, Pantalone also won't have a NPC name above his model. That is despite the fact that he is wearing a cloak, and as far as I know he won't reveal his face anytime soon.

I'd say that chances that Dottore is gonna be playable are higher than ever, I'm serious.

Fatui soldiers were literally marching in Sumeru, it looks as if this Dr Data operation is supported by them fully. I doubted whether they'e still support Dottore after the events of Nod-Krai, but guess I might be wrong? Also there were these weird glitches in the brief Snezhnaya glitches, and right now Dottore is heavily associated with glitching and all that
