Who is the Man in the photo, Polish Archives

While browsing the Polish Archives for some information on my ancestors, I stumbled across a photograph of an individual who shares a surname with relatives and looks shockingly like my brother in law!!

Name of the individual is Jerzy Świętoń. The photo shows up a couple times in the archive but has very little info attached to it:

I would like to track down information on who this is and why his photo is in the archives. No matches to the name on Family Search and very little other info to go off. Anyone who can help??

Thanks!!

Researcher needed for non vital records help

Does anyone have a recommendation for providers/researchers who are great with the Archives and non-vital records? I've gone through two providers who have both helped me track down some things, but still hunting for more.

Primarily interested in draft or conscription lists from the Debica/Pasczcyna area and any court records of guardianship of an orphaned minor. I have the name of the guardian from a probate file we were able to get.

I don't speak any Polish, so my efforts to search szukajwarchiwach.gov.pl/ myself have been pretty abysmal. Definitely need help from someone more experienced than me.

Thanks!

Risk of getting sick on cruise?

Hi all,

We are about a month away from our first family cruise and so excited!

I hit a road bump today with my pre-cruise checklist. I was planning to get a COVID vaccine booster before the cruise, but I had significant side effects from the MRNA vaccine previously so was going to get the non MRNA vax. Apparently that all expired last month and won't be available again until August!!

So now I have to decide if I risk getting the MRNA vaccine which in the past has made me very sick (fever, vomiting, body aches, bed bound for 3 days basically), or to not get a booster and hope I don't catch COVID during my cruise!

Since I haven't cruised since before COVID, I don't really know how likely I am to catch it on the ship and ruin my trip? It's a 7 day Alaska trip if that makes a difference.

Any experience here or actual data on how likely catching COVID during the cruise is so I can take that into my decision making?

Tia!!

Available anywhere???

I have a cruise coming up and was planning to get a Novavax COVID vaccine before it, but it sounds like everything expired May 31. Is there anywhere to still get a non MRNA vaccine before early July or am I totally out of luck?

Wish I knew there was going to be a black out... I'd have gotten it in May!!
