I genuinely don't know if I'm the only one who's fed up with those "decide what half of the map gets removed" engagement-baiting, karma-farming posts. So there's a pretty big chance that I get downvoted to hell and ratioed hard, but I'll take the risk to express my feelings.

Someone once came up with the idea of a game where Reddit decides to remove a part of the map. Fine. It was funny for the first time despite it not fitting in this subreddit. But people, in a moment of Reddit being Reddit, caught onto it and realised "hey, you can fit so much karma in this bad boi". And what followed was an avalanche of such posts. "Remove a country every day" here, "worst country of [select desired era]" there, heck people already try to do it with the different parts of a CITY!

This is not just not fitting for this subreddit, but the sheer quantity of posts (due to a lack of quality) just gives me the rest. Those games are not even creative or have their own spin, it's simply the exact same with different geographical units. I can't see them anymore.

As someone who loves maps, especially terrible ones, I hope we can stop with this slop. I used to love this subreddit but in this form this isn't a subreddit for terrible maps anymore. And if it doesn't stop, can we please ban it? The subreddit would really profit of this. Thanks for letting me rant and for reading this lol

Heya everyone! So me and my GF got invited by a friend of her to a Goth party. Personally, I never had anything to do with this subculture, the most goth on me is my love for leather jackets and an unrelenting negative outlook on the world (srsly the world is fucked).

Anyways, I don't want to go there blind and potentially unknowingly offend anyone, so I was wondering if there is something important I need to know before going there or maybe I need to dress appropriately or anything else. I wanted to ask here because first I'm not really close to her friend and this person maybe checks WhatsApp all leap years if the stars allign and second I hope to reach more people here and hear more stories about the goth subculture. Oh and also, please forgive if those are stupid questions - as said I haven't interacted with this subculture at all yet.
