Asking for my brother's phone

He's still using hyperos 2.0.209.0

He sometimes complains about the battery

He got the new hyperos 3.0.6.0 update today

Should he update it? will the battery life improve?

His phone is 1.5 years old almost

I'm searching for some days to find a new phone and I'm confused tbh the main things which I need in this phone is :

1. Good battery life

2. NFC

3. Decent camera

4. Fast and reliable which will work for some years.

I'm using a Xiaomi mi10t for 5 years and the battery of it has become very old and ends up fast.
