Yes, I know I am late to the party with Odyssey. The movie was actually good. I’ve just finished watching it in IMAX, and the only thing running through my mind the entire time was how epic Varanasi is going to be on an IMAX screen.

There is just so much variety and scope here.. Antarctica, African wilderness, Varanasi city, caves, and of course, the back in time Tretayuga sequence showing literal gods. These giant rock structures below which we can find in Ramayana sequence are going to look epic in IMAX..

We are literally gonna witness ancient India in IMAX.. (For those who don't know, this concept art pic was used by SSR in globetrotter event for explaining IMAX ratios)

It might be his usual style, but the problem with Nolan’s movies is that they always have that depressing blue/grey tint. There isn’t much colour. Sometimes it just feels bland and very depressing.

But from what we’ve seen in the glimpse, there is going to be so much colour in this movie. Nowadays, most movies seem to be using these kinds of depressing colour palettes. When was the last time you saw a colourful and visually rich movie in recent times?

Sure, realistically, it might not be as colourful as the concept art video. But Rajamouli generally doesn’t go for those depressing palettes. You can expect minimum color, especially with such a variety of locations involved.

I’m already imagining a wide IMAX shot of Mount Kilimanjaro, with Bob walking alone through the fields towards it. This is gonna be epic.

If done right, Its going to give a better experience visually than Odyssey. Get ready for Nolan vs SSR Comparisons in future 🤣.

And I mean, that’s what we should be aiming for. People should come out saying Varanasi was the better IMAX experience than Odyssey. That’s the level of success and visual spectacle we should hope for.

It's been 10 years since G.O.A.T M.M Keeravani has composed Baahubali OST. Starting from "WKKB" to "My faith my mentor", all the Baahubali OSTs are phenomenal. It's truly world-class, oscar-worthy and outstanding in every sense.

Even RRR has good songs and OST. I've listened to RRR OST many times... But if I have to compare, I feel it's not on par with Baahubali. It's good.. but Baahubali was next level 🔥!!

However, I am having a different feel for Varanasi. I feel we are gonna witness one of the greatest musical works of mankind. I feel it's gonna be on par or (hopefully) even surpass Baahubali. Yes they only released that 3 min glimpse till date and I have seen and listened to it countless number of times.

But there is something so powerful about this BGM in the glimpse. Starting from what we hear in the Ugrabatti cave to Tretayuga music (this is soo good.. not just the Rama bit.. but before that when they show the Hanuma.. those beats and everything is soo good) to Rudhra coming on Nandi.. every portion is just soo good. It's beautiful even if you listen to it on your phone speaker or listen to it in Dolby.

The first time I saw the glimpse in Dolby Atmos it was mind blowing. Motham theatre shake aipoindi.. aa beats, and those thumps, bass.. it's amazing. The quality is soo good. It's been 10 months and even after listening to it multiple times, it's still sounding so fresh and the impact is still the same. Nak aithey, this 3 min Varanasi OST felt more powerful and impactful than all RRR OST's combined. Since this is mythology and relating to ancient times/God.. it is again Keeravani's strong zone. He is gonna cook hard 🔥.

Everyone, including me, has waited so eagerly for BOB's birthday hoping they will release something. However, as some of us expected, just two stills eh vadilaru like for PC birthday. Mari darunam eh anukondi.. not even one single official poster.. 80% shoot aipoina they didn't release anything.. SSR says the core audience/fans are the main focus but they did disappoint them here. Anyways that's a different discussion.

As much as we all are disappointed, I feel there are two reasons for this.

1.First of all we don't know what team is dealing internally. Oka pakka they already announced the release date. Rajamouli movies ki inevitable ga anukunna dani kanna konchem extend avutundi.. whether it's shooting or budget. So we don't know what type of pressure they are in.

2.As someone said, I think the promotional strategy for this movie is gonna be very different. Idhi varaku laga character teasers, pre teasers, announcement teasers, BTS esi look reveal (like making of Baahubali - happy birthday Prabhas video) ivi anni undav emo. Ivi anni villa team eh already chesesaru... Eesari ala undadu emo.

Just concept art video... just concept art video ke they installed 1:43:1 screen and made a big event in RFC. Actual movie content/footage they won't release it just like that. I feel they are planning something big.

And I have this feeling that we won't get many small teasers or 2-3 trailers for this film. The movie content which they will release is gonna be limited. Motham theatre lone direct ga.

I do call myself spiritual to an extent. I am an agnostic atheist. I think all religions are made up. I am skeptical and at the same time I am open to the unknown. I go through and read all the stuff regarding reincarnations, ghosts, paranormal encounters, NDEs, Afterlife etc. It's all fascinating and I am open to exploring.

However, some shit they say, it really boils my blood and pisses me off so bad. It just makes no sense (rationally or morally or emotionally). And it's straight up gaslighting and victim blaming. At this point, it doesn't even feel like an organised religion. It's straight up a CULT.

Never waited for a movie this badly. I think it's not just me, but most people here are eagerly waiting.

Aina oka movie kosam 1 year mundu nunchi Wait cheyadam is so insane. It's like some once in a lifetime project feels. The hype is so real.

This project feels so special and personal. Like as a fan of Mahesh, will finally get to see Mahesh back to form after the last 10 years of robo era.

And it's also been so long since I saw an SSR movie on screen. That impact is always there. Take baahubali.. its impact is still there till today and it just stays with you.

Whatever glimpse they have released in November is soo good. Never replayed a glimpse so many times till date like i played that.

I have this feeling that this movie will be SSR's best work till date. RRR weak work antaru gani, akkada aa movie lo antha scope ledu. It's not focused on patriotism directly, it was focused on friendship in the british era. Aa script lo kuda antha scope ledu.

But this one, feels like it has so much scope and potential. That too mythology, which is SSR's strong zone. Ippati varaku in SSR movies, we only got god references. But eesari directly shows God, asala ela chupistado not able to imagine, and that too showing mahesh as god. It's like a dream movie.

This project is personal and monumental for overall tollywood. Tollywood biggest star and tollywood (also Indias) biggest director collabing.
