I (M21) feel peaceful when she's away (F20), anxious when she returns, but still miss her when she's gone. We've been together for 3 years now. How do you tell what's love vs just missing the way things used to be?

I’m struggling to make sense of what I’m feeling and I’d love some perspective from people in longer relationships.

When she’s away I feel... peaceful. Like my shoulders drop. I can think, work, be myself.

But when she comes back I get really uncomfortable, even to the point that I DON'T WANNA BE WITH THAT PERSON.

And then when she leaves again, I miss her. I miss us. I replay good memories and feel that pull to have her back.

It’s confusing. Peace without her, anxiety with her, but longing when she’s gone.

For people who’ve been in long-term relationships: how did you learn to tell the difference between actual love and just missing the way things used to be?

Is love just supposed to feel like that?

I don’t want to throw away 3 years because I’m confused, but I also don’t want to stay for the wrong reasons.

Has anyone felt this push-pull and figured it out? What helped you get clarity?

It's a song called "Like a stone" by Chris Cornell. I'm really confused about breath control.

Hi everybody, I'll keep this post brief but precise.

I'm a rock singer and I didn't have the opportunity for a vocal coach. I've just been sharing raw emotion and kind of shredding my vocal folds on some of my own songs. I just listen to my body for pain and watch what I'm doing during session with a mirror.

Anyway I'm fascinated on breath control for more finesse.

Aside from all of the information nowadays, I'm really confused between 1/ "pushing a little bit in the down area"

2/ "not pushing but just opening the rib cage and resisting it from collapsing early".

I've tried those but I don't really know what's working. It feels like I still have a really big bunch of air. I wanna know how you support your voice!

And of course I'm open to another tips by the way. Thanks for your time!
