The PMC website is genuinely, impressively terrible.

I’m sincerely impressed how bad this website is. I’ve never, ever seen a convention website this disjointed. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve seen a website for an ongoing, still in business event this terrible in my life. I don’t even know where to begin.

The guest list is exceptionally misleading and outdated. There’s a section called “Guests 2026”, with a drop down menu. Except…the dropdown menu lists all the guests for 2024. A show that happened two years ago. To see this year’s guest list, you have to actually click “Guests 2026 itself and not the drop down menu it’s a part of. If you click it on desktop, it shows the guests appearing this year (substantially fewer than in 2024 by the way. There are going to be some very disappointed people there who didn’t realize until they arrive at the show that all the guests listed by season on the website were actually for 2024). And that even only works on desktop. On mobile, it only shows Kane Kosugi, and that’s it. Which would further imply that the guests listed via drop down menu are for this year. Which again, they aren’t. And even on desktop, on that one single Guests 2026 page, some guests are listed more than once to try and make it look like more people are going. It genuinely feels like they straight up forgot to book guests for the convention.

On top of that, the events page lists other conventions, some from years ago, some currently on hiatus, on the exact same page as this year’s show. The website also has a link to Power Morphicon Online, which happened years ago. The site’s store STILL ALLOWS YOU TO ADD-TO-CART AND BUY PHOTO OPS WITH GUESTS FROM CONVENTIONS THAT HAPPENED YEARS AGO, BUT NOT FOR THIS YEAR.

They announced weeks ago that they’d offer send-ins for people to get autographs, and that just never happened.

There’s so much more but I’m just irritated at this point. See for yourself what a disaster that website is.

Under $100. I love skill machines.

Metal Sonic wasn’t from a claw, that was a ticket redemption. I’d been sitting on 14k tickets for a long time and they had it for 5k. It looked super cool so I grabbed it.

Also, note: thought I missed out on Ado because it never showed up at my location after the initial release, which I didn’t get because apparently a line of people was there that morning and cleared them out. They randomly had it in treasure road. Worker said they found a box of them. 🤷‍♂️

I thought you guys would think this is cool, and I wanted to share. I got this signed a few years ago at a comic con, by Matthew Mercer (Chrom) and Laura Bailey (Lucina).

Thrift store would like someone to work for them as their furniture delivery person, for free and using the person’s own vehicle. They suggest directly charging the person who is receiving the delivery.

The only place I remember having these was my elementary school cafeteria. I got one almost every day.

OSHA worked for us last time. REPORT THEM AGAIN.

I have no idea why, after it worked last time, everyone is saying 🤷‍♂️ and just letting it go now. Stop that!

It takes so. Little. Time. https://www.osha.gov/workers/file-complaint

Requiring pulling is an OSHA violation. Include it in your report. Include the risks of ankle injury, as well as shoulder and back dangers. Include any injuries that have already happened.

Modifying carts with parts not designed for the carts is an OSHA violation. Walmart was told not to do this. It makes the carts even less safe. These tiny wheels were not designed to handle the weight that these carts are carrying. They aren’t designed to be dragged. They aren’t designed for quick stops because a custy or a kid sprints in front of you. They fishtail. They DO NOT have enough foot clearance, and they increase the chance of ankle injury when pulled. They have already reportedly buckled and broken several times under heavy loads. The carts were not designed for those wheels, and those wheels were not designed for the carts. INCLUDE THIS STUFF IN YOUR REPORTS, ESPECIALLY THE ANKLE DANGER. Additionally, general staff are not to be modifying equipment against how it was designed by the manufacturer. Report that.

Removing the manufacturer’s “PUSH DONT PULL” stickers is an OSHA violation. Report it! Walmart has already been reprimanded for this once. These carts were not designed to be pulled, and cannot safely be pulled, regardless of the wheels put on the bottom. Report the removal of these stickers.

The home office people, market people, coaches, and team leads lurking in this sub that are saying the new wheels make this okay are not correct. Those wheels not only fail to prevent the ankle/arm/back risks that Walmart was already warned about, in some instances they actually increase the risk due to the carts being harder to roll, less ankle clearance, and needing more force to stop. Not to mention the dangers of carts breaking and toppling on the person being ordered to pull them. OSHA ordered Walmart to stop ordering cart pulling for multiple reasons, but none of those reasons were the old, safer wheels.

Also, whoever sees this and tries to find me and go after me at work over it, I have plenty of documentation about the policy against retaliation, and what constitutes retaliation under the law. I have done nothing to violate any policy, including the social media policy. Have a good day.

I feel like there’s way, way too much smoke about us passing on Wilson for Wagler at this point and it’s kind of terrifying.

On 670 today, Spiegel and Holmes were talking about the draft and once again brought up hearing that the Bulls may be leaning Wagler over Wilson. Holmes is actively wanting it to happen, while Spiegel is hesitant. They had Ricky O’Donnell on today, and the subject was brought up again. O’Donnell was saying that while he still expects Wilson, he would not be overly shocked at this point if it’s Wagler at 4. He said the Bulls can’t really trade down for Wagler because he’d likely otherwise go at 5 to the Clippers, and trading down with them would simply result in the Clippers taking him at 4.

O’Donnell also said that Wagler has only worked out for the Bulls and Clippers, and turned down all other teams. O’Donnell said that Wagler said it’s because Wagler knows where he stands with those two teams. Then today, we traded for Claxton who, while he is a C rather than a PF, does have an extremely similar skill set as Wilson. Nets fans on their sub are convinced that the trade was made from the Bulls perspective because we intend to take Wagler at 4. He said that while he feels Wagler is a tier below the big four in this draft, he knows the Bulls are extremely high on him and it would not blow his mind to see them choose Wagler over Wilson.

Istg if Bryson starts his tenure out by trying to prove to the world how he’s very very much the smartest man in the room… Listen, I’m not hating on Wagler as a player. He’s a very, very good player. But this draft pick is a gift and we need to not fuck it up. We cannot pass on a consensus pick. Between Holmes the other day saying he’d started hearing the Bulls are looking at Wagler at #4, O’Donnell today, Wagler only working out for the Bulls and Clippers, the reports that the Bulls wanted to trade up from 15 into the top 8 (and then those reports quieting when it started looking like Wagler would go 5th), and the trade for Claxton… idk, it doesn’t seem like us getting Wilson is as surefire of a thing as we were hoping it was.

I know there are a lot of Illinois fans here who would probably really excited about having Wagler, but when Caleb Wilson is available…man I hope we don’t fuck this up.

I don’t want this to happen, but I think we might take Wagler 4th

Just too many mentions of it online and on the radio. Even Lawrence Holmes today said he’s been hearing the Bulls might be leaning Wagler, to which the other hosts thought he meant in terms of a trade up. He said no, with the 4th pick. He was stoked about the idea. It’s giving a lot of the same vibes of when out of nowhere, a few days before the draft, people started saying Pat Williams to the Bulls would be a thing.

Y’all, I’m not shitting on Wagler, and I know there’s a lot of Illinois fans here. But we cannot screw this up. If we want Wagler, we need to trade up. This is not the time to try and prove how very very smart we are by passing on Boozer or Wilson, or even Peterson.

Wagler, who previously worked out with the Bulls, has cancelled his workout with the Nets.

Wagler has cancelled his workout with the Nets, who pick 6th. Additionally, Kevin O’Connor was reporting that the Clippers, who pick 5th, are not super interested in Wagler either at their spot.

He had previously worked out with the Bulls, and people assumed it meant the Bulls were trying to trade up. I sincerely hope that’s the case, because everyone and their mother knows we need to take whoever is available out of Wilson or Boozer. Likely Wilson. If Wagler has a promise from someone, I really hope it’s not us trying to show how very very smart we are.

Istg, do not fumble this.
