I picked up my first Wrangler a few weeks ago and I'm already planning some audio upgrades.

It's a 2018 JLUR with the factory Alpine system (8" sub and Alpine amp). The sound overall is a bit underwhelming.

I recently ordered a Stinger HEIGH10+ to replace the factory 7" Uconnect, and I also have an Alpine Type-R 12" subwoofer and Alpine mono amp from a previous vehicle that I'd like to reuse.

I'm having a hard time finding a way to add my 12" Alpine Type-R Sub while preserving as much cargo space as possible. I'm trying to avoid a traditional large box sitting in the middle of the cargo area. I'm especially interested in seeing setups using full-depth 12" subs, not necessarily shallow-mount subs or pre fab under seat units.

Most of the examples I've found so far use shallow subs and stealth enclosures, but I'd love to see how people are fitting larger, conventional subwoofers into their JL while still keeping the cargo area functional.

A few questions:

• If you're running a full-size 12" sub in your JL, can you share photos of your setup?
• What enclosure are you using?
• Did you keep the factory Alpine sub or remove it?
• If you kept the factory sub, how did you integrate it with your aftermarket subwoofer?
• If you removed the factory sub, did you replace that side panel with the matching trim panel from the passenger side?

I'd love to see some pictures and hear what worked (or didn't work) for you.
