29 [M4F] Orange County, California - Anyone interested in going on real dates?

I’m hoping to meet someone kind, grounded, open minded, and genuine. Someone interested in real dates, good conversation, shared experiences, and getting to know each other naturally without forcing things.

I haven’t really had much luck with traditional dating apps, so I figured I’d try meeting someone this way instead. At the end of the day, I’m really just looking for a connection where two people genuinely enjoy each other’s company, communicate well, and can be affectionate and comfortable around one another.

I’d describe myself as easygoing, thoughtful, creative, and a little quirky in a good way. I value humor, communication, mutual effort, and people who are comfortable being themselves.

For anyone wondering, I’m six feet tall, fair skinned, dark haired, and keep myself in decent shape.

A few of my interests include music and live shows, movies, sci-fi, photography, RC vehicles, Lego, reading, creative hobbies, and collectibles. I genuinely enjoy learning new things and hearing people talk about what they’re passionate about, even if our interests aren’t exactly the same.

Lately I’ve been spending more time exploring creative interests while still figuring out what direction I ultimately want to take long term career wise.

I connect best with someone who’s warm, balanced, easy to talk to, emotionally mature, and has a good sense of humor. For me, chemistry tends to come from comfort, conversation, and naturally enjoying each other’s presence.

Lifestyle wise, I’m not much of a partier or heavy drinker, and I’m not into extreme politics on either side. I’m also child-free, monogamous, and ideally looking for the same. Due to health concerns, I can’t really be around smoking or vaping.

If any of this resonates, feel free to reach out. Ultimately just looking for something real that grows naturally through conversation, trust, and shared experiences.

TL;DR:

29M in Orange County looking for a genuine, meaningful connection. Easygoing, creative, thoughtful, child-free, monogamous, and hoping to meet someone kind, balanced, and easy to talk to.

Laguna Hills Classic Car Show

Took these at the classic car show in Laguna Hills earlier. Lots of cool rides on display. Which ones do you like? Also, sorry for the poor photo quality. I’m not good at taking car photos.

My happy place [iPhone 14 Pro]

Took a walk around the North Lake in Irvine earlier and the scene was just too good not to snap some photos.

Saw these at an antique store yesterday.

Was browsing an antique store yesterday when I came across these so I thought I'd share with you guys. I understand that most of these aren’t really antique, but they still got my attention. The one that stood out to me was the classic wooden minifigures.

Which of these do you guys like?

Spotted these at a gift shop in Arizona

Didn’t think I’d find these at a gift shop. They do look fun to build, though.

Found these while browsing an antique shop yesterday

I was browsing this antique shop in Phoenix when I came across these minifigs. Not sure which set specifically they’re from but maybe you guys can help me with that. Would definitely buy the whole set once I see it.

Some unique finds from the antique shop earlier today

I know that these aren’t really antiques but I was browsing the store when they caught my attention so I thought I’d share them on this thread anyway. Which one do you like?

Spotted this at an antique mall

This would actually make for a sick display piece. Just gotta find Ares and Eve.

Finally got to folding my first paper planes from this sweet kit I bought from Barnes and Noble a while back. It’s actually quite fun and I’m looking forward to folding the other ones on the cover.

By the way, the first one is the simple flying wing and the second is the standard plane.

I’m a guy in my late 20s living in Orange County, CA, and I’ve mostly relied on dating apps and online spaces to meet women. I haven’t had much success there, so I’ve been thinking about trying to meet people in real life more often.

That said, I’ve always been hesitant to approach women in public because I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable or come across the wrong way.

I’d really like to hear your honest perspective. Do you generally like or dislike being approached in public? What makes an approach feel respectful versus uncomfortable? Are there certain places or situations where it feels more appropriate? And are there any clear things guys should avoid?

I’m also trying to be mindful about not putting anyone in an awkward situation, whether that’s approaching someone who’s clearly not interested or accidentally talking to someone too young, so any advice there would help too.

Just trying to understand this better and approach things in a respectful way. Thanks!
