The class size cap is 22 in Tx for 1st grade. I currently have 28 on my roster in one class and 26 in another. I’m not sure if my district has filed a class size exemption, and I don’t want to ask and make my principal think I’m questioning her or being difficult. What do I do? School hasn’t started yet, so I know enrollment can change, but in the past few days I have still been getting more kids added. Any advice would be appreciated

Recently moved into new apartment near Love Field. Seen so many millipedes wandering into my apartment. Has anyone had this issue?

I already signed my contract, but after I signed I realized I wanted out and was made aware of some other opportunities. I’ve been applying to nearby districts but received one email stating they couldn’t interview me without my principal listed as a reference.
I haven’t told anyone I’ve been applying- my plan is to leave my school if I get a job, stay if I don’t.
But now I’m worried I won’t be able to get a job without a reference from a supervisor. What do I do?

I’m a first year teacher and I had my end of year meeting (I got renewed for next year and already signed my contract) I was told I’m going to be put on a growth plan at the start of next year. Does this mean they’re planning to let me go after next year? Or do they genuinely want me to grow? I’m just confused because why would they renew me then?

Not sure if I should start looking for other districts now or just stick it out and see if they keep me after next year.
