In my opinion: a well done outfit > perfect pien makeup

I personally prefer a well done coordinate with non “jirai” makeup than someone wearing pajamas with perfect pien makeup! I have been into the community for a little bit longer than most people, and I remember the emphasis used to be almost entirely on the wardrobe, and I get why it shifted! Jirai brands are often expensive and not always size inclusive, not to mention tariffs make purchases even harder than before; meanwhile makeup is much more accessible to the average person. (Let’s also not act like jiraim*xxers haven’t played a key role in this) However to me the most recognizable part about jirai is the clothes, not the makeup! So it feels like a bit of a shame that I’ve been seeing a rise of people online who do not seem to care to engage with that side of the fashion!

Let me know if you guys agree or disagree! This is just my personal opinion, and all jirai is cute as long as you are trying and having fun!

Prince tea house oshikatsu review

This is an oshikatsu review for the Prince teahouse! the Prince teahouse has 15+ locations across the US and has a large menu of cute foods and drinks that can appeal to just about anyone! I’ve been to the Prince teahouse many times, with groups as small as three people, and with groups with over 10 people. My experience has been highly positive and I would like to put a few people on with an honest, Oshi centered review!

Aesthetics: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is undeniably the strongest point of the Prince teahouse! Locations of the Prince tea house are flawlessly decorated and kept pristine! Based on what I’ve seen online, different locations may have different color palettes and furnishing, but they still maintain a uniform level of elegance through the use of chandeliers, table decorations, and flowers. likewise, the food and tea accessories are equally (if not more) adorable! The tea sets are my personal favorite aesthetically, but the cakes are also extremely well plated and are perfect for photos with your oshis merch! The lighting in my location is also incredibly nice for taking pictures of not only your oshi, but yourself as well!

Menu: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I personally have loved every single item I’ve purchased off of the Prince teahouse menu! Taste is highly subjective but the quality of the food is high, Ive never had any issues with the foods taste or presentation out of the many times I’ve ordered from my cities location. The menu is large and most items are very cute! The restaurant has many different colors of cakes and teas, so it should be no issue finding an item that matches the color pallet you want to do oshikatsu in. The only real issue you could have with the menu is that the cakes are not very filling. If you would like to eat a filling meal at the Prince teahouse I suggest you get one of the savory meal options alongside whatever more sweet option you want (I personally get the curly fries). Most people I go with get one smaller cute item mostly for pictures and get a more filling dish for actual nourishment.

Atmosphere:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you are a person who can’t do busy restaurants, I would advise booking a private room because the Prince teahouse is usually very busy (atleast where I live). While I personally enjoy more bustling restaurants, if you prefer to eat in silence this could be a dealbreaker. people usually eat here for birthdays, so you will likely hear a decent amount of laughter from your neighbors and a few instances of the happy birthday song. I think this could definitely work to your advantage if you come with a larger group, as it’s a lot easier to feel less concerned about your own noise level if those around you are at a similar one! This restaurant is no louder than your average restaurant, but it is important to note because everyone has different sensory limits!

Service/booking: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This restaurant has very nice service! Waiters pay a lot of attention to finer details, they offer to serve the first cup of tea, make sure you know what options they have, and are very patient with customers deciding what to order. My server found out it was my birthday on one visit and came out with a birthday icecream item for free less than five minutes later! The attention to detail is really nice and you will definitely feel like royalty! Booking is also incredibly easy! Reservations are free as long as you don’t book a private room, which is really helpful if you want to bring alot of people with you on your oshikatsu outing! I was able to book a table five days in advance for a party of thirteen for the busiest day of the week in under five minutes! I would advise that if you plan on having the bills be split by individual amounts spent instead of the table amount spent, say so ahead of time (just for the sake of your server)

price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The only real complaint you could have with this chain is the prices. the standard slice of cake costs around ten dollars, which definitely isn’t within everyone’s budget. A filling meal consisting of a pot of tea, cake, and an order of fries will cost you around 30 dollars when you factor in tips and taxes. While much cheaper than most sit down restaurants, it is still def a high enough price to factor in during this rating!

Pien make might be your enemy

If pien makeup makes you chopped maybe consider this upturned jirai make. this picture is mine and I think it’s cute and reads as jirai while still suiting me (and it might suit you too )

I am very into makeup even outside of jirai kei and my advice for recreating this is literally just do upturned liner and use a light pink shade under ur eyes, a dark brown to connect your liner and bottom lash line and use that same color to draw a shadow for ur namida bukuro. then use glitter on inner corner and namida bukuro then use tweezers to clump top and bottom lashes into spikes.

Getting cursed out for not directly returning change to someone’s hand

Today I had a nurse come in and order a smoothie, she was on the phone and I had gloves on so when I gave her change back I did so by placing it on the counter. she then said she no longer wanted her smoothie and demanded her money be returned. I asked why and she said because you didn’t hand the change back directly when I gave it to you directly. She then started to kind of curse at me to her friend on the phone???

anyways I started crying and gave her the refund but I really don’t understand why people are so cruel to me at my job. I know that since I work near a hospital a large amount of our customers are nurses and that overworked nurses might be less patient. but I have worked here for about two months and every instance of being cursed out has come from a nurse over something minor. it has been getting to me. It’s my first job and I’m 16!!!! I want to work here but I hate being talked down to… :((

was I in the wrong / being neurodivergent??? is this some cultural norm I don’t know about??? Advice for not crying at your job??? Words of encouragement or similar stories??? I’m just really sad about this right now.
