Cancer pops
Do we think that the cancer pops are just tasty mango flavored popsicles? Or do they have some other magical feel-good ingredient in them?

I just noticed this today: counter numbers, in blue, reading 0:00. When I click on them, I get no info. What are they? The only recent change I've made was a couple of days ago, downloading Google Chrome to use with a specific website that wasn't playing nicely with Safari.
12 noon flight out of SFO to JFK. 70° outside, air nicely cool in the plane. I don’t understand why I’m the only person with her window shade open during takeoff.
UPDATE: Problem solved, I am an idiot and didn't know that I should have downloaded the .dmg file and not the .exe file. Thank you u/jepthai.
I have been using fldigi for a few years on my Mac. The Mac OS is up-to-date with OS Tahoe 26.5.2. I am still on version 4.2.09 of fldigi, and I went to update it today. Downloaded fldigi-4.2.12_setup.exe, but I am unable to open the file. It shows up in my Apps folder, but whether I double-click on it or right-click and choose "Open," literally nothing happens. No error message, nada. I remember last time I downloaded, I had to go into System Settings and tell the Privacy/Security safeguards that it was ok, but this time, there's nothing there - no indication that it blocked anything. I guess I can just keep using version 4.2.09, but wondering if there is an easy solution to my "failure to launch" the update.
This is not a new quirk, but it’s always bugged me. The left-hand panel that lists my messages will show each message’s subject line and usually a few words that presumably are part of the message. Those few words are what I’m calling a “subheader.“ But when I open the actual message, the words of the subheader often don’t actually appear in the message, like they are sort of hidden and only available in that little preview in the left-hand panel. I’m just wondering why that happens.
I’m fine with staying on the most recent version of iOS 18 - at the moment it’s iOS 18.7.8. I would rather not update to iOS 26. My question is, since I’m sticking with iOS 18, should I continue updating individual apps to their latest versions? I’m worried that if I continue to update apps like Instagram or Venmo or whatever, eventually maybe the apps won’t function so well because they’ll be geared towards iOS 26.
