Last month I attended Ototen 2026 - a HiFi and High End audio exhibition in Tokyo and would like to share some pictures I took.
Got my hands on some Hitachi HS-500 in great condition.
I have a general question: at what point the price of a record player stops justifying itself? I feel like the cartridge would be a better thing to invest as it probably affects the sound more than the player and tonearm. Would a vintage player with a new cartridge be a better option than a new beginner level player with whatever cartridge is included?
