Suppressor question.
So, I want some more information from people more in the field of creating suppressors. I'm part of GOA and with the NFA no longer being legally applicable to said members would I be legally allowed to make one? I understand that nothing said here would be legal advice AT ALL.
I just don't want to break any laws accidentally. I know that the best option right now is to wait, and I 100% am going to wait for more information, I'm just gathering said info now. Thank you for reading!
Gonna scream
So I go to a local pet shot for antler, it's honestly amazing. I can bring a knife blank to fit the tang or find a good antler and fit the tang to it. I normally boil the antler and pull the marrow out but decided to try something new. Punched a hole through, widened it and tried to hot fit it like I do wood. DON'T DO THAT. The second I got the handle properly fitted to the blade that massive crack formed. Pissed me off because it fit SO well in my hand. It was naturally oval, the perfect width for the guard, slightly tapered wider towards the back to fill the palm well. Now it's scrap. Never hot fitting with antler again.
Did I get a good deal?
Bought this from a blacksmith the other day. Anvil, stand, hammer, and a few tools for the anvil for $500. It weights between 200 and 300 lbs.
First hat done.
Honestly, not HORRIBLE for my first hat with the first hat pattern I have made myself. I learned quite a lot, first FUCK CHROME TANNED LEATHER. Shit is a bitch and a half to work with. Second, some veg tanned leather can also be chrome tanned as well, this leather passed every test to be veg tanned and yet it STILL acted as chrome tanned no matter what I did. Boiling only shriveled and made it tough, but never hardened, baking didn't work, I couldn't work harden it or full wet form it. It would take a shape but didn't hold it too well.
I also learned I need to do more research on hats, depth of the cap portion and stuff like that. All in all, fun project.
Attempt at a hat.
I have NEVER done any clothing projects before so I'm going in blind. The type of hat I'm making is inspired by a game called bloodborne. It's coming along a lot better than I expected despite using the wrong weight of leather. It's probably double the proper thickness. I gotta find a way to stiffen it a bit. It's not done yet, got to clean it up to tatter it up.
The Beast Reaver
My own take on a trick weapon, heavily inspired by the saif but not quite one so I gave it a new name. I need a better way to light it on fire as the cords only lasted like a minute before falling apart. Maybe it's because I used wd40. Maybe something like rubbing alcohol would have been better? Or hand sanitizer.
Beast Hunter Scythe?
Just finished this today. It's made out of an old broken scythe. I used the handle of the scythe too as it was metal. It's decently light all things considered. Made in inspiration of the beast hunter saif.
Is 3d2a good for shotguns?
So I was thinking of trying to make a rimless shotgun shell and realized "man, id need to make an entire new gun for this" because the rim is used for head spacing. Just curious as I have seen things like 308 be used but I haven't personally seen anything but a break action shotgun
First shoulder holster.
Shoulder holsters have always gone hand in hand for me and revolvers so I had to get one for my chiappa rhino. Sadly the ones I could find were horizontal, so anyone behind me is getting flagged by a gun which I always found unsafe. So I made it rotate. I still need to do some detail work, darken the leather a bit and all that.
I can't travel between planets
On ps5.
No idea what I'm doing wrong. Made a simple shuttle, threw an oxygenator in it and tried to go to the moon. I can select anything here. I repackaged the shuttle, pad, and thruster and still nothing. When I launch the doors are still open if that is some glitch. I don't want to start a new file, if it's corrupted I'm just quitting the game.
I noticed there's a squeaking sound while I ride my bike. I tried to replicate it with the bike stopped by pushing down on the front forks, wondering if it was that but nothing came of it, rolling the bike, bouncing, ect. I'll bring it to a hill some time and roll down with the bike not started to see if I can hear it then. Could the brakes just be glazed? I know I should just pop the front caliper off to check, but I'm worried I'll fuck it up like I did on my car lol. I can't take the rear wheel off yet, I have no way to hold up the bike.
It's weird because the stopping is very responsive so I'm unsure.
