I feel like I woke up one day and suddenly every non vegan has ARFID

Has ARFID always been this common in adults??? I feel like I'm living in a second timeline where suddenly everyone is too severely disabled to stop eating dino nuggets. But genuinely has anyone else noticed this?

Guys I'm going to the beach in 2 days and I'm gonna fucking die

In my country it's possible to go vegan when you're cooking for yourself at home, but there are like 0 options at restaurants.

It's actually one of the things I'm most upset about. You can't just pop into a fast food shop for a quick lunch, can't just go to a bakery and get a cupcake with your coffee.

Anyway, I'm going to the beach in 2 days and I feel like I either have to be vegetarian, as close to vegan as humanly possible, or eat fucking french fries to fuel these high activity days.

Any advice for my poor newbie-vegan ass 😭

Edit: this is an ultralight beach day. We are only allowed to bring ultralight bags and towels and nothing else. I'm feeling like this might fall under the possible and practiceable clause?

Also, for the love of God, y'all are mean sometimes? Does every vegan actually stick to it for beach days? I have trouble buying that.

Want to go vegan but I'm lazy and eat like shit

I've been considering veganism for a while now but it seems like every vegan recipe I find takes 6 hours to make, and I also won't be able to eat as much shitty fast food as a vegan. I'm addicted to cheese and processed foods and rely on them for emotional stability, the thought of not being able to get something satisfying at a McDonalds drive thru whenever I have a bad day is really what's stopping me. I don't want to live a healthier life and I don't want to be a functioning adult who spends 30 minutes a day cooking. It feels unreasonable to expect that of me. I also think I have ARFID and auDHD, it seems like a lot of others who struggle to make the transition do as well.

Be honest, would I be such a bad person if I went vegan except for dairy, eggs, honey, and gelatin? I feel like I have some extenuating circumstances. I'm not perfect.

Just found this subreddit, had a mantis encounter years ago

Years ago on LSD I had an ego death/hypnotic state experience with mantids. My most common closed eye hallucination from psychedelics has always been seeing flashes of different life forms and feeling myself be reduced to atoms, but this time I woke up on what looked like an operating table with giant mantises overlooking me. They didn't say anything but they felt like higher beings and it felt kind of sinister.

Is there any the consensus on why people see mantids and what they mean? Are they higher beings or aliens

Looking for advice to get over my bf abusing and eating dogs

My boyfriend really likes to torture and eat dogs, and I'm vegan. I'm having trouble not feeling resentment about it. When I've talked to him he said he knows it's wrong but is just too lazy to stop. We've been together 3 months but I feel we're perfect together and he's an amazing guy otherwise. I know nobody likes vegans who force their beliefs on people and I'm not looking for advice to help him change, so instead does anyone have tips on how to desensitize myself to the abuse he carries out? I'm not looking to change him, just to stop caring

What exactly is ADST?

I'm looking into an ADST job for the middle school ages and the curriculum website doesn't give much information about what the course is. I understand it in principle, but for anyone who has seen or taught ADST, what are some examples of what the course could look like? Do you just teach whatever you/the kids want?

If I buy meat with the intention of throwing it out but then decide to eat it, is that vegan?

It was going to be thrown out anyways so it feel like the animal would suffer for nothing unless I consume it. I'd much rather be killed and eaten than just killed.

How to satisfy the slaughterhouse urge ethically?

My wife and I are slaughterhouse lovers and want to own our own one day, but since going vegan it's been harder to satisfy that urge and feel ethical. Does anyone have any ideas on more ethical slaughterhouse options? Maybe places that ethically slaughter them that we could visit? We just like the show!
