Is it possible to transfer to a different university only with a foundation year?

Hey everyone, I am planning to do a foundation year at QMUL, My grades were BCC so I had to go through clearing for this. I was wondering if I do a foundation year at QMUL, would other universities take me for their first year such being UCL, KCL and UOM??? Let me know if you've been in a similar position and how it worked out for you..

Thank you xx

Is there a possibility for me to ask to switch to first year instead of foundation year?

Hey everyone,

I got in through clearing for enginnering with a foundation year. My mum's been pressuring me to ask them if I am able to go to straight to first year.

I was wondering if I emailed QMUL that I could switch to the first year or a different course, which has the contextual grade requirement as BBC, I originally wanted to do, though I am still open to this course.

My grades were BCC, though I don't really want to loose my spot I have now just in case, but I just needed a few more opinions from other people.

Much appreciated :) xxx

I feel naseous about results day (resit student)

Honestly as the title says I geniuenly cant stop feeling sick about results day. What's funny is that it's my second one too since my last results day, I did so shit and I have PTSD from that one. I only resat chemistry and maths, eventhough I have hopes for chemistry, the maths paper 1&3 geniuenly violated me 💔💔💔 felt like a big spit on my face. Trying not to think about it, but I really really want to go to uni this year and not feel like a bum at home.

High testosterone PCOS; dealing with cravings, fatigue, and a frustrating plateau

I’m 5’2” and have PCOS with elevated testosterone. I experienced a pretty sudden unexplained weight gain, and since then I’ve been struggling with feeling stuck despite being active and trying to support my health.

My weight seems to fluctuate between 53kg and 55kg. I’ll weigh myself every few days and it’ll be 53kg one day, then 55kg another, but I never seem to make any actual progress beyond that. It feels like I’ve been stuck in the same range for ages.

One of the biggest things I struggle with is sugar cravings, eventhough I have upped my protien intake and fibre. I crave sweet foods so often, and it feels much harder to ignore them than it used to be. I don’t know if it’s related to my PCOS or possible insulin resistance, but it’s really frustrating.

Another issue is the fatigue. Some days I’m so exhausted that all I want to do is lie in bed or on the sofa, and it takes so much effort to get myself moving. I know exercising usually makes me feel better afterwards, but when the fatigue hits, it’s hard to even start. Then I end up feeling even worse because I’ve spent the day doing nothing.

Despite that, I do try to stay active. I do the Japanese walking method for my daily steps, around 30 minutes of cardio most days, and strength training every other day. I feel like I’m putting in a decent amount of effort, which is why it’s so discouraging to see the scale stay in the same range.

Has anyone else with high-testosterone PCOS dealt with this? Did you have the same sugar cravings and fatigue? If so, what actually helped, I've started taking glyNAC Combo alongside asthaxthin, and drinking spearmint tea (though I'm not super consistent with this).

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve been through something similar because it’s starting to feel like my hormones are making everything so much harder.

Thanks ❤️

Edit: Also want to add that I trouble a lot with sleep which I heard can also have an affect, been dealing with it all my life, any tips on that would br great!

What are these spots on my face and what are some treatments I could use to get rid of it?

I've had them for a while, would laser be a good option? Or any other options would be helpful!

Here is my routine:
AM:
Simple Cleanser
Moisturiser
Sunscreen

PM:
Micellear Water Cleanser
Moisturiser
(Sanwich method if Retinol night) Retinol 3x a week

Starting Astaxanthin

Just started Astaxanthin, has anyone seen results of an undertone change. I started around a week ago, I know it takes about 2 months to see something. Is it better to take daily or alternate? Currently taking daily at 4 mg.
Also taking the NAC combo alongside aswell.
