I need encouragement

I am about to move to a whole new state and am going to be working full time at a new job and taking two classes as prereqs for a nursing program. I have a partner who is very supportive and he will be moving with me. I am just feeling like I need some words of encouragement going into this very busy/tough time and words of advice if people have it.

Tips for picking a new electrologist

I will be moving in the fall and I want to know your best tips for finding a new electrologist in a new location. Things to look out for and things to avoid. Red flags/green flags. I’ll be moving to a city in FL so i’m sure there will be lots of options.

What’s it like living in Jacksonville, FL?

Looking at working in Orange Park but living more north, or open to east but that makes commute traffic worse i’ve heard. The neighborhoods I have narrowed down to (at least that I like on paper) are Avondale, Riverside and San Marco. Would try and find a place in the safest most central part of either neighborhood regardless. Has anyone lived here and have opinions on these options?

Young het couple in 20s
Like going out and doing fun things like community events and occasional bars, love going dancing particularly salsa would be fun
Would not mind being more easily drivable to the beaches if it lengthened daily commute if it was a great location.
Want something lively but not rowdy (if that makes sense), I think relaxed would be preferred over rowdy.

Nursing program scrubs?

What scrubs do you need for clinicals/class etc? Are they all provided by the school? I’m moving to the area and just don’t want to bring a bunch of scrubs that i’ll never use.

EDIT: Is there anyone in the program who’s wearing scrubs that they had prior to the program?

Fake tan before appointment?

Would it be okay to do a fake tan the day before an appointment? I would only apply it to my body/neck which does have some hairs that we’re working on. I never put it on my face where most of my hair is. I know laser was a no go with tan before appointments but does it affect electrolysis? The indicator would be completely washed off before the appointment.

Advice with transcript evaluation

Okay so I am planning on applying to the nursing program at some point in the distant future. I am not currently living in Florida and plan to take prerequisites and general education classes at my local community college until I move/until I start the program as it is financially smarter for me to do so. I spoke with a health sciences academic advisor who gave me a general idea of what classes I could take at my local community college that would count towards equivalent credit at PBSC. She did say, however, that if I wanted to know for sure if my credits would transfer I would have to apply to the college officially then have my transcripts sent over. I did that a week or so after meeting and had all transcripts, including AP scores from 10 years ago, sent to the college. I was then informed, after I sent everything and paid for transcripts, that they cannot review my transcripts unless I am in a degree seeking program. My issue is that I want to know what, of the classes I have already taken, will count towards the prerequisites because it drastically changes how I am approaching the next year or so. Is there a way for me to apply to a degree seeking program just to get the transcript evaluation done and then drop it or is there another way that I can get an evaluation done?

What’s the best outfit for after tanning

I use bondai sands self tanning mouse, it works so well for me and is the most cost effective really good one i’ve used. BUUUUUT it is so damn sticky. I am going to dinner tonight then a soccer game after and I don’t want the tan to be rubbed off with what i’m wearing. I don’t have to wear socks which is good but what do you guys wear with sticky tanner?
It’s going to be like 60 degrees out.

Anyone know anything about accident yesterday on Maine and East ave?

Drove by a car that was completely flipped on its side with police trying to break through the windshield last night around 9:30 PM. Anyone have any information on the event? No other obvious party’s involved.

How long does it take for acceptance to the school?

I applied a little less than a week ago and finished all the checklist items on Workday yesterday. How long did it take people to hear back about acceptance to the school? Just looking to get set up with transfer credits ASAP.

I am about 1.5-2 months out from my first three electrolysis sessions and i’m noticing small cystic acne in only the spots that I have had electrolysis.

My electrologist is really good but books up fast so I have a 3 month or so break between my last appointment and when I could get my next appointment. In the last two weeks i’ve been noticing cystic bumps that eventually turn into pimples. Is this typical?

They look like they’re leaving slight acne scars along with the slight red dots where i’ve had the electrolysis. Any recommendations on treatments to get rid of the scars or will they likely go away on their own with time? I will say I will take little red spots over hair ANY day.
