Caught My Boyfriend of 2.5 Years on a Dating App
We’ve been in a long-distance relationship, and things had reached a pretty serious stage. We were planning to involve our parents in January 2027 and eventually get married.
We met after a long time during the first week of August. We went out for coffee, and while we were sitting together, I happened to see him swiping on Tinder. When I confronted him, he gave me a very unconvincing excuse, which obviously didn’t sit right with me.
So, with the help of a friend, I decided to find out what was actually going on. We created a fake profile using my friend’s pictures. I matched with him—and, ironically, he was also using a fake name and AI-generated pictures.
We exchanged numbers and ended up having a conversation that lasted through the night. Eventually, I managed to convince him to video call.
And then when he called… boom. I was on the other side of the screen.
, his face was PRICELESS.
This literally happened last night, and by morning, the entire truth was out in the open.
But what hurts the most is that even after everything came out, there was no remorse. Instead, he blamed me. Apparently, I was “too insecure,” “psychotic,” and had somehow “pushed him to cheat.”
The irony is almost unbelievable. This is a 31-year-old man I am 28. We were about to introduce our families for marriage. We had spent two and a half years together, and I genuinely thought we were building a future.
My heart is breaking a little more every minute. Right now I am taking it well. I haven't even cried once. May be the feeling hasn't sunk in yet. I am just scared that I might break down completely in the coming days.
Any advice?
